From: Specialist T.Klevitch
To: Major J. Koren, Captain C. Igneel and Lieutenant M. Mccarthy.
Subject: Elimination of Imperial secessionist forces on the Planet of Ord Radama.

Introduction

The aim of this report is to provide chronological accounting of the Primary Objective set by Lord Sanguinis and Major Koren to Eliminate Imperial secessionists and their renegade Sith leader on the Planet of Ord Radama.

Stage 1 – Hotzone Landfall, Squad Disunity and Bunker Breach

Available Horuset forces were summoned to the Officer Deck. Among the attending were Apprentice Ronith, Acolytes Nedhorroc, Sara, Sherrena, Varyanis, Lyana, Vinitia, the Rutian((Lao)) and later, Lieutnenant McCarthy. Lord Sanguinis decreed the Annihilation of seccesionist forces that aims to leave the empire, who are located on Ord Radama. We were to also recover intel on this traitorous group's reach, and we had departed with haste.

We Landed in Hot and under fire on Ord Radama near an imperial entrechment which we quickly took to, Apprentice Ronith delegated Experienced Acolytes to stand vanguard line formation, whilst the newcomers were to remain second row. I was ordered to aid in returning fire at the treacherous forces within the entrenchment. We were given tremendous cover fire, our group advanced while the opposition was under heavier fire and we took cover closer to their forces undetected. we sighted a repulsortank and infantry between us and the objective. Apprentice Ronith requested that I hand him my frag grenade and I complied. he planned to engage the Tank and infantry forces alone by himself, and delegated command to the Lieutenant (Lt. McCarthy) who ordered the group to advance to the bunker. The acolytes didn't understand and they proceeded to create their own marching orders and debate chain of command amongst themselves.

I had repeated The apprentices words, then again the LT's and order was somewhat restored. The Apprentice initiated attack and sown panic among the enemy infantry with fire but was stopped by the main cannon of the tank. The LT threw an Emp Grenade, myself an Ion to disable the tank, while the Apprentice used a Frag grenade to kill its driver and other occupants, it had clipped Lt. McCarthy and to a lesser extent myself on its outermost range with its shrapnels. The tank and infantry was neutralised and we proceeded to scout the bunker, where two imperials were spotted, but were alerted to us. The LT took left flank and myself right, and we proceeded into the interiors of the Bunker. A turret opened fire at Lt. McCarthy and Apprentice Ronith pulled him, with the force, to safety some space away from the turrets sight. Meanwhile grenades were propelled at our group by a grenadier and multiple explosions were heard.

Stage 2 –  Med evac, Tactical briefing and Disarray

The Lt was given a bit of reprieve as he was pulled by the apprentice, but the turret would swerve and lock onto him once more. I threw a flash bang grenade at the turrets location, assuming it had an operator. After shielding my visors, I charged in and shot an engineer, who through an amazing stroke of luck, blocked the view of his auto turret with his body, which then fired into him, killing its operator and subsequently deactivated. I proceeded to drag LT. McCarthy to cover and stabilised him, but he was bleeding still, strangely by the turret blaster fire which wounded flesh but did not cauterise. The LT in his shrapnelled and turret-blaster riddled state, managed to prime his frag grenade, while I was stabilisng him, and roll it down at the grenadier, killing her.

Lt.McCarthy was extracted, an acolyte((sara)) asked the apprentice to loot a frag grenade from the grenadier and was approved, then the group proceeded to the bunkers innermost room. where a figure was spotted shuffling in the darkness near the end of the room. Nearing engagement, Apprentice Ronith briefed on the stratagem for capturing or eliminating figure who was possibly sith, to use swarm tactics. We approached, the sith engaged Apprentice Ronith in some rhetoric, but we engaged them immediately, An imperial comando appeared by the siths side and I fired at her at long range with my Marksman rifle, forcing him to roll behind full cover and revert to her sidearm. I succeeded in keeping her pinned for a duration of the fight and rendered her unable to assist the Sith dueling Apprentice Ronith.

Though my own attention and concentration was tunneled to eliminate the commando, my Bodycam had caught what looked to be a crate, that slammed me to the floor and had originated from the acolytes direction, an explosion was heard ((Sara)). I lost sight of the commando, and scanned the battlefield with my targetting module, thankfully finding her again shortly thereafter as she rolled into new cover. The commando's position was continually fired at, but she was expertly making use of the space afforded to her by a crate as cover. The commando's sidearm was knocked off her arm and pulled away from her by one of the Acolytes ((Vini)). This point I heard Acolyte Sherrena asking me for a Knife, as I strafed to get a better angle on the commando for a flanking shot. The renegade sith withdrew, seemingly airlifting the commando with him into an opened turbolift. Bolts were released after them as its doors closed, and an Imperial contingent warned us to retreat, as tremors rocked the bunker, citing Lord Sanguinis's anger. We evacuated back to our LZ and made it back to the Th'Asidra.

Assessment and Thoughts
As Requested by Major Koren, I have submitted the footage of my bodycam Holofeeds to the Command Information Center for review.
The following would be my personal assessment to the mission and its outcome.

The team sent for the mission consisted of largely untested acolytes, and concern was not raised whether they would be a liability, much less of help. This was due to the roster consisting of as a single sith alongside a Black ops soldier, as it was thought it would have been enough to cover any possible defficiencies in ability. I myself, as specialised infantry, carried additional incendiaries that proved useful as additional firepower for use by Apprentice Ronith.
This however was not the case, as the Lieutenant could not assist us to our objectives due to his extensive injuries incurred halfway throughout our progress.

I observed that despite the sound strategy by Apprentice Ronith, to swarm our objective, it was not carried out by the Acolytes who instead maintained their distances. The Rutian had chosen to hide which was somewhat expected, but Acolyte Sherrena had chosen to hide as well, whom I've expected to rush the target based on our past experiences. None of the acolytes engaged at close quarters and rather engaged at a distance with the force, The latter of which was ineffective as they opted to disarm the enemy commando than to remove the crate that offered the commando cover, as they had with dislodging the crate upon which the Apprentice was fighting on.

With the objective escaping, disciplinary actions were due. What followed did not however, meet my expectations. Lord Sanguinis did not hand a punishment directly, contrary to earlier report of his anger, seemed unsurprised and had a tempered demeanor. My Thoughts on the matter is that it was consistent with rumours surrounding that the Lord himself as unreadable much like the Dark Lord, and additionally that some more valuable hidden objective was satisfied or that an opportunity had arisen. Either way, such is only to be expected whilst serving under Lord Sanguinis.

The Major had requested immediately after the mission debrief, that I speak openly on my current thoughts, of whether the acolytes deserved punishment. I proposed that, we all did, as I felt I was responsible as well. It was not too long ago that I was allowed access to the Vaiken Model Marksmanrifle, that I had come to appreciate its unsurpassed quality and imperial design and engineering. I felt I was fixated in utilising the rifle and do its name justice, as I had done numerous times before on missions. In Hindsight, seeing how the acolytes failed to heed to the strategy, I should have pushed myself to Hand to hand combat with the Commando. I neither expected our enemy to be prepared for such an extraction nor the acolytes to be of such hindrance, in end effect our skirmish lasted only seconds. Although it would have meant death engaging the commando without extensive hand-to-hand training or a weapon to resist their Vibroweapon, to an Imperial, I would have and should have welcomed death before failure, and failure it was.

I expect many more sleepless nights.

Ongoing Crisis
War in the Northern Territories

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

"The Northern Territories shift under the weight of changing times. With the passage of the ICOT, internal strife amongst Imperial Forces in the North has lessened - though never abated. Although the momentum of the Republic has not yet been met entirely, fortification efforts and victorious naval campaigns have evened the footing at least slightly. Eyes align on systems such as Vykos, Nam'ta and Orsus to see how this proceeds.."

((OOC: The Balance of Power system has begun! Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state at the start of the next war arc will determine how strong the Republic will be in the area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
