Part one.
The Art of speech.
A blue Holo recording would come to life. In it, Acolyte Utahis Aayu would be sat, staring into the camera.
A few deep breaths before beginning would be heard as he composes himself for the struggle to come.
"It work? Yes.Yes..."
He'd begin.
"My name, what my name is? Utahis. My name is Utahis."
Utahis would struggle as he attempts to form words in coherent sentences.
"Ah--- I... I am Utahis."
He'd look to the camera, a faint smile signifying his determination and joy at his minuscule victory.
"I... Am Sith. An Acolyte. Utahis se-- I serve the Empire."
He'd pause again, once more putting great effort into something as basic as speaking, something a child learns, usually with ease.
"I am speaking to the... Camera, so I can --Listen-- back to... It. Utahis thinks it will help him--- I think it will help."
He sits in silence for a moment, his hand visible in the camera fingering the grooves and various keys on the datapad before him.
"I will... Begin, with the Sith Code. The... Sith Code is..."
He'd clear his throat and drink quickly from a small glass of water before continuing.
"The Sith Code is the law? Law of the Sith? Utahis doesn't know the word to say right."
Catching himself speak again in the third person, he'd slam his fist into the desk. Letting out a grunt prior to the continuation of the Lesson.
"It is what many Sith live by. And it goes like this..."
Peace is a..." He'd take a moment, trying to remember the words.
"A lie... There is... There is only... Passion?
Through... Pa-Passion, I get strength,
Through strength I get the power,
Through the power I am victory,
Through victory, my chains are broken..."
Utahis takes a moment reflecting on the weight that that final sentence holds to him on so many levels.
"The Force shall set me free..."
With that done, he breaks his in depth concentration, looking back to the camera, and starting again.
the next forty five minutes of the recording are just him repeating the Sith code, each one with words incorrect or in the correct tense until Finally.... Finally he gets it right.
The Old Utahis, the one who would lay down his life for his Empire, the one who would charge headlong into an army of Jedi purely to avenge his fallen ancestors would emerge from his catatonic sleep, just for a brief while.
The True Utahis would echo these words and from behind his eyes a cold determination, a tenacity to never yield no matter the battle would show.
"Peace is a Lie. There is only Passion.
Through Passion I gain strength.
Through Strength I gain Power.
Through Power, I gain Victory
Through Victory, my chains are broken.
The Force will set me free."
He'd take a moment and simply stare into the camera before speaking again.
"I do not know who made me like... This..."
He'd gesture to himself and point to his head, as if trying to point to the shattered window of memories and logic that is his mind.
"But I will find them. I will learn why. I will avenge my former self."
He then turns the camera off. You are left in silence.
