The House Horuset Curriculum
"With the old Rulings of the House Curriculum abolished, I now bring to you new guidelines, designed at the request of the Dark Lord herself to better further the educational system for the new generations to come. All are to respect these changes and adhere to them should they conform to you personally. All Sith are expected to show professionalism of these changes in their own methods when dealing with Acolytes." - Overseer A'tul
The House Horuset Curriculum Structure
- Overseeing the creation of all Trials: The Curriculum will consist of five categories, or so it has been decided in the past. One based on Saber theory, force theory, Sith Theory (Historical), Sith Theory (Philosophical) and Sith Theory (Miscellaneous).
- The creation of- and the making of changes to the curriculum.
- Must reflect all teachings within Tradition.
- Can decide who can teach Acolytes (Apprentices only) or not in full authority.
- Can make their own decisions but will answer to Darth Horuset if a mistake is made.
- Delegation of two or more Overseers beneath him/her, choosing them based on their value to the curriculum and their adherence to tradition.
- The approval of any editorial changes made to the new system of progress Notes, holding full accountability over the factual nature of the reports.
- Hold important lessons themselves.
- The Head-Overseer will be counselled by the Conservancy on matters concerning the acolytes and will be seen as an authority and specialist on everything that has to do with them, similar to other mainline specializations.
- The Head-Overseer works with the Envoy of Tradition to ensure their teachings are in line with that of the powerbase.
- In the absence of a Head Overseer; oversee the creation of all Trials.
- The creation of and the making of changes to the Curriculum.
- Must reflect all teachings within Tradition.
- Can make requests to the Head Overseer, or the envoy of Tradition who can teach Acolytes (Apprentices only).
- Will answer to the Conservancy (Sith Arvanis) and the Dark Lord in the absence of a Head Overseer.
- Will meet to make joint decisions and will answer to Darth Horuset if a mistake is made in the absence of a Head Overseer.
- The approval of any editorial changes made to the new system of progress Notes, holding full accountability over the factual nature of the reports.
- Hold lessons.
- Review any theses produced by the Acolytes after the discussion of the new mandatory texts.
- Manage the 'generations' of acolytes and groom special apprentices for masters on-demand.
"The Head Overseer and Overseers share the exact same tasks. The Head Overseer merely has more authority. The specialization into specific categories of learning also increases the ease in which alternative branches like the Blade masters, Purifiers, Beastmaster’s or Sorcerer Disciples, Lore-Keeper and others may be requested to provide lessons into their specific fields of prowess." - Overseer A'tul
Overall Curriculum Reform
- All those who wish to teach are to submit a ‘lesson plan’ to the Overseers, describing the structure and intent of their lesson. This way the decision to be allowed to teach can be made by gaging the educational benefit of the lesson.
- Change the structure of the Overseers. With there being two overseers answering to the Head Overseer, or in the absence of a head Overseer to the envoy of Tradition.
- Ensure the curriculum produces proper Sith through the renewed focus on the teaching of Sith Theorem, philosophy and the correction/punishment of those who stray from them.
- Make the reading of texts that should give the Acolytes a better understanding of what it means to be Sith mandatory, and encourage the writing of reports and theses on them.
- Use the vast array of knowledge available in these texts by devoting entire lessons to the discussion of their meaning.
- Implement a system of ‘progress’ notes, similar to the trial notes, for every Acolyte in the current batch. In order to collect both positive and negative remarks on the Growth of the current generation.
- Making it easier to see which Acolytes are straying from the path of traditionalism and provide potential Masters with further insight into which Acolytes and their progress could be of interest to them.
- There can only be one Head-overseer Household Sith rank or above, but there can be multiple influential Overseers of the apprentice rank or other.
Curriculum
- Tradition must be enforced and all, Apprentices and Acolytes alike must be enlightened by the true ways of the Sith. With this, can work in unison with the Purifiers.
- Saber combat, being a fundamental aspect of the Core of the Acolytes, is held in high regard. Overseers will council and work with the Blademaster and her disciples to deliver high quality lessons.
- The Beasts of Horuset are pivotal in assessing the Acolytes skill set for when they perform a ‘Beast Trial’, so to gauge with the powers that align with these beasts, the Curriculum must work in coordination to the Beastmaster and their Disciples that any Acolytes taught in this field are done so in guidelines to the Curriculum.
- The Curriculum is public, as is decided by the Dark Lord.
- The Head Overseer his/her Overseers are responsible in ensuring that the Dark Lords Acolytes are kept up to standard and that all guidelines set are followed indefinitely. They too are responsible for the punishment of those found aiming to undermine it.
- Those who wish to learn to teach must approach the Overseers for such, picking a subject they intend to teach and providing a lesson plan to the Overseers. The Overseers will then review the plan and relay the request to teach to the Head Overseer/envoy of tradition. Who hold the right to deny the request if it is felt the lesson will not add anything of educational benefit.
- Renew the focus on ensuring proper understanding of the ways of the Sith by ensuring vital bits of theory are mandatory to have been read and that every Acolyte understands their significance.
Lesson Template
"Those who wish to teach Acolytes, must send the Overseers a layout of the lesson preemptively on command to better understand the manner of which they will teach, too shall it be altered if necessary by the whim of the Overseers to suit the Curriculum reforms. Beneath you will see a template on the exact specifics needed to be filled out and sent to the Overseers for lesson approval." - Overseer A'tul

The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!
The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!
 |
After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
