Dark Lord, my Lords, I am writing this report a short number of hours after your own agents left the system. I believe they themselves may provide first-hand accounts of what they experienced and I would humbly advise you to hear these as it will add to the information I will be providing to you now. Whether you do this or not is, however, entirely at your own prerogative and I support whatever it is you choose to do. The context of this mission that your forces left on was that a vast asteroid arrived in the system some time ago, despite extensive uses of tractor beam technology and precision strikes by ship-to-ship based weaponry the asteroid maintained a course for the planet of Sernpidal. As the time looked dire I fell upon a plan that involved inserting a special force of Horuset agents to plant seismic charges in key internal structural points to exact maximum damage and - hopefully - decimate the asteroid so that it would burn up in a million piece harmlessly in the atmosphere.
From what I observed via other teams on the surface of the asteroid, before its detonation, and from my own post on the station above Sernpidal, I was able to ascertain that the team was largely successful. I understand an Imperial soldier was lost on the mission, left behind to unsuccessfully plant the final charge, however, it appears there was great horror to follow. Even as Imperial fleets moved in to break up more dangerous flotsam that threatened the station and the planet something diabolical occurred.
Given reports that followed from the planet surface and from some of the ships close to the blast caught by debris, the asteroid was part natural-part synthetic in nature and housed within a great horde of organisms that appear in nature to be some distant offshoot of the Taurill that turn up in some outdated scientific study. They are a wild, mutated, and viciously aggressive breed which seems capable of organising itself to exact perfection despite no clear evidence to suggest any level of sentience or discernible communication. The pieces of the asteroid rained down on the planet, Dark Lord, my Lords, tens of thousands were killed in the initial fall of debris, and from these large rocks emerged a much greater threat. Countless legion of these Taurill have set about exterminating large swathes of the population wherever they can find them. Their reasons for this remain a mystery, how they came about this system is unknown, and how they harnessed this asteroid is unclear; all we know is they mean us and your efforts great pain and death.
Working around the clock Imperial garrisons, alongside naval assistance, have managed to contain the outbreak to a single continent on the planet. I do not expect you to throw everything you have behind this crisis, nor would I ask this of you in your great power and might. Instead, Dark Lord, my Lords, I request that I be allowed to contact you regarding the most vital of missions so as to not spread you too thinly. I have attached a mock up of one of the Taurill we did catch sight of. They vary from this quite diversely, however, and so one should not expect this to be the most awful of it's type.
The only good news I can offer, Dark Lord, my Lords, is that through the able work of the Horuset forces dispatched the planet as a whole was saved from total annihilation. Current estimates suggest if the asteroid had not been stopped then the change in weather along with kinetic force alone would have wiped us off of Sernpidal and likely done irreparable damage to the station.

Darth Horuset and his Lords of the Council, I am instructed to write this report to enlighten you on the situation that unfolds on the ground of Sernpidal. I will begin with the situation on a more general level, before delving into the more finite minutia of the circumstances I found myself in before the arrival of your timely and generous aid. I pray to your continued service to the Empire in supporting the cause on Sernpidal and ensuring our continued survival.
On the days that the asteroid parts struck the planet everything had appeared somewhat calm, a general evacuation of most insecure buildings had been ordered and we were already in the process of deporting people off world. What came as a shock was the way in which the asteroids came down on the most vital locations, going against the reported trajectories that the analysts assured us of. In my professional opinion those asteroids had some unseen method of altering their course and someone from our side had somehow told these aliens where to hit. But, I give the mindless beasts too much credit of intelligence, they appear - with all study - to be totally mindless and hardly capable of what they do. Yet, they strike in size and organised beyond any of our comprehension. Needless to say, they have us on the back foot across the continent struck, and continue to do so. Targeting lines of supply and communication, they have been able to hide themselves well and any attempt to counter them by attacking locations of concentrated activity has seen them melt away before we can inflict much of anything.
Imperial ships in orbit provide clear enough fire support and, Empress willing, we will continue to maintain control of the skies entirely as this is the only thing keeping so many isolated points whole. We are stuck almost in a guerrilla fight on our own planet and unless this insurgency of beasts can be struck a quick blow to kill it I fear this will begin to affect progress on the stations in orbit above, where I know you have invested a great deal of time and effort.
My station has meant I see little to nothing of the civilian centres. I have heard rumour and vague report, however, that these are the most sensitive targets as the citizens have simply not received enough training to quite stand up to such hordes of the animals. Many of the men and women have families here, born locally in some cases, and this is having a terrible effect on morale, whilst also making them totally resolute on success or death. You will not find the Imperial army lacking, my Lords. In the desert especially, we struggle for things like water as this can be rather difficult to transport in great quantities and so our use of moisture vaporators is vital to the war effort. The loss of them can kill towns and outposts, I might humbly suggest that if any could be spared, they be dedicated for the numerous locations across the continent that sees theirs destroyed and damaged.
With little else of note to add, my Lords, I sign off here and, once again, thank you for the aid of your servants. They make a rather hopeless affair appear far more positive.

The little bastards got me in the gut, I can feel it's the end already, don't need some quack medic to tell me otherwise. Funny, I didn't think dying would feel like this, then again, I never thought it would be amnything like this anyway. This was supposed to be a quiet posting... But, I did the Empire proud, we damn near held out long than anyone else could, and I challenge any mudcrutch to try and tell me otherwise. They'll have an especially hard time soon enough.
The city was struck too quickly for us to do much to try and stop it, and once they had infested some of the key spots, we were never going to get them out. It was a battle against time at that point, even now I'm fighting time to take down this report. Service until the end, father would smile on me. But, they attacked in secret first, none of the rubble came down in the city and by the time it was clear they had made it in - from the reports - it was already too late. Defending the gates seemed a stupid idea, they had another way in, but turns out it was a spark of genius. Whatever they did to sneak in at first was clearly closed by the time they arrived to sack the place.
I hear some forces from Horuset showed up, trying to help. It's good to think there are Sith out there maybe, just maybe, fighting hard for this Empire, and not just themselves. Had to laugh though, heard one of their lot - a Vaenra Horuset - boarded one of our shuttles and ended up getting flown half way across the planet with the wounded and our escaping food supplies. I laughed so hard I almost spilt my guts for real. They'll get her back safe, I have no doubt.
But I see them, coming closer now, in the shadows. Those padding and clattering arms they walk on. They're going to try to steal my body like a pack of carrion. I'm going to make them fight for the privilege. This is Major Harris, signing off for the last time.

The following report is from Commander Tanconri, formerly of Th'Asidra now on special assignment to the Sernpidal project. The report is meant for Darth Horuset and his council's eyes alone, however, what they do with this information is entirely their will. This report comes after a strike team of Horuset forces supported the project greatly in attempting to avert a disaster.

The following report is from Major Bailey, responsible for the ground forces operating out of Camp Meridian following the death of senior officers in the field during the collision of a great many objects with the surface of the planet. Having now evacuated the camp, it is discovered that Horuset forces - whilst unable to do much to stop the aliens - were able to make it an operational FOB once more and upon the end of the sand storm Camp Meridian has been recovered, though at far less operational capability.

The following report are the last words of Major Harris, director of Operations in Smugglers Perch, following the fall of the city. The report was recorded on a datapad, we believe, minutes before his death. Although not specifically addressed to Darth Horuset it has been forwarded in accordance with keeping the Dark Lord, and his council, as a breadth of the situation on the planet as possible.
