Chapter 18: For the North

#1
“There is no rest in the galaxy. Darth Shaar, the newly appointed head of the Civil Administration in the Sith Empire. She had contacted Darth Horuset with instructions to support the war effort in the Northern Territories, due to our interest in Sernpidal. Darth Horuset obliged and prepared her Powerbase and her fleet to head for Sernpidal to begin.”

“However, things are never that simple. Upon exiting Hyperspace, the Horuset Fleet were met with a bulk of the Republic Fleet, who too desired to support the war in the Northern Territories. Of course, even with the surprise, the Horuset Powerbase won the fight, but suffered a few losses.”

“Having set up a new base on the planet known as Plooma, the Horuset Powerbase faced positive odds, gaining new information on the Republic in a consistent flow while the base continued to grow with each passing day. We did not stall our efforts as plans were made to lure the Republic into detailed traps, such as leaking an offensive to the enemy on purpose moments before the Horuset hammer fell, as well as claiming the enemy’s resources during a well planned battle, time and time again.”

“Yet, during the conquests of the Horuset Powerbase, the Republic decided to strike in the center of it all, as they planned to destroy the Horuset Base on Plooma, to the point it would cripple us. They succeeded. The base was destroyed and the Fleet was in shambles. But this did not sour our motives, this gave us the strength to push back even harder.”

“The Horuset Fleet, regardless of their condition, engaged in battle with the Republic Fleet, while the Forces boarded a Valor-Class Cruiser, named the ‘Basilisk’, and crashed to a planet where the Republic base was situated. When the Horuset Forces rallied, an assault was set into motion to destroy the Republic Base. The Republic Base was in flames, while the Horuset Fleet remained strong and the Horuset Forces celebrated the victory, even though some of the Jedi commanders fled.”

“However, the tale does not end there. As the Forces and Fleet sought to return home, an unknown Imperial Fleet halted our journey. The unknown Fleet engaged into battle with the already damaged Horuset Fleet, while the Forces inside the Th’Asidra were fighting the invaders. The invaders destroyed the Throne Room, while bringing heavy damage to the Th’Asidra and her fleet. Yet, the Horuset Forces won the fight.”

“As the Fleet went to Sernpidal for repairs, and the Forces recovered from the war effort, a thought had lingered. Everyone is an enemy, even those who follow the same banner as you…”

- Sith Kàer, Lorekeeper of the Horuset Powerbase.

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
