*Acolyte Trakaton would stand upright with both hands already going to the small of his back, the faintest hint of a subtle movement of his right hand would indicate that he’d likely activated the holorecorder with the force. His face would be unadorned with a smile, entirely stoic in nature. A single breath like a whisper would escape his mouth before he begins speaking*
Lord Tokiai, I hope this report finds you well. This is being recorded shortly after we left the tomb of Lord Fallak. The other acolytes have gone on ahead in search of our speeders, giving me time to relay back to you.
*Trakaton would take from behind his back a tiny tablet, the length of a finger and the width of three. He’d hold it between forefinger and thumb, showing it to the holorecorder briefly before putting it back into the pouch on the back of his belt*
We found the map that you’d heard rumours of, my Lord. Specifically, Acolyte Hirak found it still attached to one of the walls under the pretense of being part of the wall itself. Such basic trickery explains why it survived previous looting attempts.
*A small smile would appear across Trakaton’s face*
Suffice to say, my Lord, when we first entered the tomb the walls, ceiling, even the floor itself was entirely bare. Looters had not been kind to the Tomb of Lord Fallak over the years, stripping everything not bolted down without so much as a second thought to the once grand mausoleum. Acolytes Raeniu and Hirak accompanied me into the tomb initially before Acolyte Zaryaa holocalled in offering assistance, which I accepted. The four of us journeyed further into the tomb. Bare walls being met by bare floor. It was unlike any tomb i’d entered before. It was just empty, the power that resided here long since deserted.
*Trakaton pauses for a moment before saying*
Or, as you correctly suspected my Lord, never present in the first place. After many hallways and beasts, we came to a single lone Looter. He was startled by our presence and bolted further into the tomb, being chased initially by Raeniu and Hirak. We came to the very next room, only to find that he’d tripped on one of the doorways and fallen flat on his face, his nose having a bloodied smudge on it from the connection with the harsh floor. After some initial...crying, the man told us that he had no idea what the map even was and after he told us about his compatriots in the tomb, we took it upon ourselves to search what they had collected and thus dispatch the whole lot of them. A quick shot to the head from his own blaster saw the end of the man’s life, who swore to his last breath that he had a family with children. Regardless, we pressed on.
*Trakaton shuffles in his spot slightly, looking out of frame as a gust of wind flaps the arm of his acolyte robe and ruffles his hair, catching dust and sand as if it was made to do so.*
The looters had formed their base of operations deep inside one of the tomb’s chambers in one of its many off-shoots. Crates of ancient pottery, broken mosaics and fallen pillars filled their crates with items that would be of little use to any except those that appreciated the architecture of the Ancient Sith. We came around the corner and looked down the stairs, quickly making a basic plan of attack onto the Looters who were unaware of our position.
*Trakaton narrows his eyes ever so slightly as he says*
We fell upon them like knives to cloth. We cut them to shreds in ways that must have seemed brutally dance like through the fear-filled eyes of the bad choice making Looters. When the last one fell, our suspicions were confirmed, no tablet was in sight. Yet, the tablet was indeed in the room as Acolyte Hirak quickly discovered. He had finished searching one of the crates, and looked directly ahead at the wall. He noted that one of the stones had writing on it, directions and locations that matched records of Korriban dating back to the Ajunta Pall era of Korriban. After simply pulling out the false stone, now clearly the tablet with the map on it that we sought for we made our escape past the bodies of the fallen Looters.
It may be some time before I commit myself and other acolytes to the recovery of the Treasure Trove at the end of the map, my Lord, as I wish to ensure a full recovery of the artifacts we find. But once we are ready, his treasures will be yours as you commanded, Lord Tokiai.
*Trakaton’s left hand would come out from behind the small of his back. His head would bow, tilted to one side slightly as the holorecording catches his scar marked right cheek in full affect, mis-matching lines of scar tissue tugging at the very corner of his mouth. In a blink, his visible hand would twitch and the holorecording would end*
