Priority Besh: Northern Territories Mission Board

In this thread you will find a list of all the potential missions and deployments that have been identified by Sith Zarchas and the Listening Post. They have been shared for members of the Horuset Powerbase to claim as their own. Some missions are called 'Wider Powerbase Deployments', these are an advanced warning for a guild event to come - giving people the chance to do some preparation RP in advance. Perhaps you'll want to learn a new skill, propose a new initiative, or even try and secure IC command of the upcoming event?

Other missions are classified as repeatable, this means that they can be completed multiple times. In order to do one of these you just need to contact Zarchas via holo (no need to reply to this thread) and he will assign you a target and arrange transport with the help of Sith Kelsa, then you just need to secure the rest of your team and a GM and get going.

These missions can either be GMd like an Ops, with a member of the team both playing and GMing or you can try to secure a trusted GM.

His usual half-smirk replaced by a stern look as cold as durasteel. His voice, despite the mechanical distortion of a holo-feed, cut through the air like a velvet buzzsaw when he spoke.
“Members of the Horuset Powerbase, the war in the Northern Territories will not be won in a single defining battle or war arc. It will be a prolonged war of attrition where battle lines will fluctuate and loss will be incurred. Preparation and maintaining a relentless pressure against the Ancient Foe will be paramount if we are to win the inevitable conflicts to come.”
“In light of this, and with the blessing of Darth Horuset, this Mission Board has been established. On it you will find advanced warnings for powerbase wide deployments to come, so that you might prepare accordingly, and also find mission briefings that you may take upon yourselves to complete. The latter will require the interested party to contact myself so that a target can be arranged and Sith Kelsa can make the necessary logistical arrangements”
“With this mission board comes opportunity. All participants will be recorded and those who go above and beyond will be recognised and rewarded for their service to the Powerbase. However, it also comes with a warning; lack of imagination, authority or assets will no longer be an excuse for idleness.”

“Interdictor technology is exceptionally rare and valuable in this galaxy and has been identified as a highly desired asset by Darth Horuset herself. With the aid of the Listening Post multiple potential targets, varying from space hulks to planetary defence stations, have been identified. Successfully retrieving the targets from each of these missions may lead to the successful reconstruction of an Interdictor class vessel, which will ensure that the Republic can never again have a direct route to the crown of our Powerbase, Sernpidal. Due to the critical nature of these missions they will be classified as Powerbase wide deployments, a process which has been divided into five very simplified stages. Expect to be called upon soon, use this time to prepare.”

“Information and advance warnings will be the key to winning the war in the Northern Territories; the Listening Post alone will not be enough to achieve this. A Horuset strike team will be prepared to attack a major Republic spaceport in what will appear to be an attempted takeover. In reality, our forces will be split into three groups. Two as a ruse to fake an assault, the third to infiltrate and establish a slicing connection. This will allow us to monitor ship movement and forge transponder codes. When the slicing is complete and the third team extracted, the assault teams will fake a retreat, allowing the Republic to believe they defeated us here and develop a false sense of security. Due to the critical nature of such a mission and the numbers required it is classified as a wider Powerbase deployment. Expect to be called upon soon.”

“Communications are an essential part of logistical warfare. As we all know from Dubrillion; entire armies can be lost in even the briefest of communications blackouts. With this in mind, a Horuset Strike team will be established to strike at a major Republic communications hub prior to a major offensive taking place. This will be a critical Republic facility that will be heavily defended as a result. As the results of this mission are dependent on successful, timing this mission is to be classed as a Powerbase Wide deployment. Consider yourselves warned and use this time to prepare. “Supply lines are a crucial part of galactic warfare and, as such, are a weakness that can be exploited. Infiltrating behind enemy lines on unaligned freighters and stolen Republic shuttles will allow small strike teams a unique opportunity to sabotage enemy supply depots or production facilities. Successfully completing these missions will hinder the Republic’s ability to field larger numbers of troops and ships by limiting fuel, food and ammunition available to them.
