The Preserver Branch
Duties of the Preserver Branch:
Below listed are the various descriptions of measures taken during the Locate Duty.
Using the skills and resources available, those of the Preserver Branch would work to locate ancient sites and artefacts of the Sith species, these can range from simple ground based stone circles used for rituals to complex underground networks of tombs, vaults and other miscellaneous structures.
Methods of location:
The first method of location can be done by flyovers by imperial scout craft across known Sith worlds to scout for sightings
The second method of location is by taking fast ground vehicles through obscured environments that strike craft have trouble getting a visual
The third method of location is deep surface imaging with scan technology
The fourth method is local sourcing, talking to locals or consulting texts on myths and rumours of old ruins.
Below listed are the various descriptions of measures taken during the Secure Duty
Once a site has been located, the Preserver branch works to secure it. This can involve removing dangerous creatures, clearing the location of pirates and raiders or reinforcing structures in a state of collapse or neglect.
Methods of securing:
The first method of securing is by sending an Imperial fireteam into the location, this is usually enough for most threats
The second method of securing is sending the Preserver or Preserver Disciples with a fireteam as reinforcement for more resilient threats
The third method of securing is using Durasteel structure enforcement to strengthen and solidify the structure, creating a stable excavation location.
The fourth method of securement is only in the most dire of circumstances which is sealing the location, ensuring it no longer poses a danger.
Below listed are the various descriptions of measures taken during the Research Duty
Once the site has been secured the Preserver Branch will then coordinate with the Sorcerer, Alchemist or Lorekeeper branch where necessary for accurate research and cataloguing of information, artefacts and items of particular note. Once any artefacts have been researched on site they will be moved to lab conditions or a vault conditional to its requirements.

First method of research is Independent research conducted by the Preserver or their Agents
The secondary method is collaborative research conducted between the Preserver and other spheres of influence
Note: any number of methods outlined can be used in conjunction with each other to achieve correct measures.
Listed below are the different classification for dangers posed by certain locations and items.
Safe (no threats)
Contained (threatening elements safely contained)
Dangerous (threatening elements loose)
Thenoti (threatening elements not understood)
Ardyti (elements so beyond understanding that their true threat cannot be measured)
