Public Call for Operation Team Assembly

Attached to the file would be a prerecorded holomessage that when selected would play. Trakaton's form would blaze to life in the classic display of a holographic transmission, the electric blue tinge accenting some features while diminishing others. Trakaton would be stood with his arms folded across his armoured chest, the cloak hanging loosely from his shoulders and the custom-fit plates of the armour looking as comfortable as an embrace. The scar on the right side of his face would be barely visible, his head ever so slightly turned to the right and he'd speak with a tone of authority:

"Subterfuge and discretion are two of the tools we as Sith use to maintain our dominance against the upstart Jedi and their failing Republic. During our thousand year long exile deep within our own homeworlds, our Empire grew quietly to rival that of the Republic and overcame it in a hammering blow as we struck out and retook Korriban and asĀ  far as Sernpidal in the north and Tandankin in the south within a matter of galactic weeks.
Entire systems changed to our side and have remained loyal since, their governments knowing of our existence in one form or another and merely waiting for our return to the galaxy to show their true allegiance to the Sith and our Empire. Such is the way of galactic politics, where careful planning and sudden changes can leave old regimes reeling and ready to topple against the tide of the unexpected.
The planet of Belkadan was taken during the first weeks of the Great Galactic War alongside Sernpidal, and it's current Governor, Thon Brush, is the seventh to have held the post since that initial taking. Chatter has erupted of the Governor's intent to attempt to cede from the Empire and establish his own independent dominion with an armed security force to act as his army and privateers to act as his navy. The Governor is however well loved by the public on the planet due to how well the planet fared against the Eternal Empire and the immediate calling for his execution due to treason would see an open planetary revolt and him made into a martyr if successful. The Governor's planned successor, Sal Temt, shares none of the current Governor's notions of an independent Belkadan and sees the prosperity of Belkadan as a symptom of the prosperity of the Empire.
Sal Temt has organised for the Governor to be feasted at a high class restaurant on Belkadan and has likewise contacted the Horuset Powerbase to quietly see the Governor assassinated so that he may take the reigns of the planet and not see it attempt to cede from the Empire. Sal Temt has organised for a small group to replace the kitchen and serving staff, to facilitate the assassination. The more natural the assassination, the better, though the Governor being murdered and it pinned on a local group is acceptable.
The operation's objectives are simple, see Governor Thon Brush assassinated without your affiliated as Sith and Soldiers of the Sith Empire becoming known to the public of Belkadan. The more natural the assassination, the better for Belkadan, the stability of the Northern Territories and the higher the reward.
To those who see this operation complete, you will be rewarded proportional to your position in the Sith Empire.
An Imperial Soldier, will receive access to a single blaster or Vibroblade upgrade category of their choice alongside receiving a stipend of credits to do with as they wish. If secondary objectives are met, they will additionally receive a commendation that can be used towards promotion.
An Acolyte, will receive a singular piece of armour to protect a body part of their choice that they will wear under their robes with my personal and public confirmation that I permit such. If secondary objectives are met, they will receive a total of two pieces of armour.
Those who have passed the Acolyte Trials, will receive a reward of their own choosing."

*With that the hologram would flicker and then fade from view. Leaving the viewer able to access the rest of the information provided.*

Location: Belkadan - The backbone of the Northern Territories and one of the earliest victories of the Sith Empire

((OOCly: I'd recommend some form of high class cantina. There is a good one on Zakuul and others on Balmorra and even Dromund Kaas if an empty instance can be found.))

Belkadan: Belkadan is a forested world within a system of the same name. Taken through subterfuge at the very start of the Great Galactic War, Belkadan acted as one of the three 'big' morale victories in the Northern Territories alongside Sernpidal and Ruuria that saw the rapid expansion of the Sith Empire and the cutting off and decimation of a large Republic fleet that was in the sector at the time. Large cities dot the planet and it is only in recent months that there has been any disturbances on the planet since it's initial peaceful taking.

Thon Brush: Thon Brush is the current Governor of Belkadan and is beloved by the local populace. An ambition man, it has reached the ears of his successor and through them the Empire at large that the Governor plans to capitalise on their popularity to create their own independent state outside of the control of the larger galactic factions. Known for their kindness and focus on helping the common folks, Belkadan has become a system that has little to no slavery under Governor Brush's reign.

Sal Temt: Sal Temt is the expected successor of Thon Brush once Thon has served the remainder of their term or if the current Governor was to pass away. Loyal to the Sith Empire above all, Sal Temt sees the Empire as a shining beacon of what it means to be human in an Empire that he sees as becoming dominated by aliens. Humanocentric to the core, Sal sees slavery as a necessary evil for the betterment of a secure, prosperous society.

Objectives: In this task there will be two primary objectives and one secondary objectives.

Primary Objective I: Assassinate Governor Thon Brush.

Primary Objective II: Do not have your allegiance to the Sith Empire become public knowledge.

Secondary Objective I: Assassinate Governor Thon Brush in a way that can be dismissed as natural causes or an unfortunate accident.

Time Frame: The team will have 21 days to complete the assignment before the opportunity to assassinate the Governor passes.
((The 14th of November will be the deadline!))

Estimated Party Size: The recommendation of Lord Kalkoran is that a party size of four to five will be necessary to complete the objectives of this mission.

((Four means start planning when to set a date for the Operation at four people with a hard cap of absolutely no more than five. Please find a GM from within this number.))

Cooking to Die For

There are some skills which you never expect to come in handy as a soldier. This mission was to quietly eliminate Governor Thon Brush of Belkadan, so that he didn't become a martyr, before he could cede to the Republic. Sal Temt, his replacement, arranged for him to eat at a nice restaurant, and for a number of us to replace staff.

Sith Arvanis assigned me as the chef, Corporal Naveil and Apprentice Syndathik as servers, and Apprentices Wradaii and Viasma as cleaning staff. He suggested poison, and left us to discuss - we acquired some from Sith Sarias, that would induce a heart attack. My plan put forward was that we would get it in him in his meal, and set off a fire and fire alarm, to ensure confusion, and a lack of aid to him. Secondarily, one of the servers would line a glass with poison for him, and all else failing, an "accident" on the stairs.

Disguised as a Huttese-speaking miscreant, makeup and fake Lekku tattoos, I was led to the kitchen by staff there, told that they would have to taste the food before I sent it out. I was the only one cooking for the Governor, and both him and his wife, we found out, were rather hungry and delayed by wine. The appetizer was a nice salad with salted meats and olives and such, and I was told of a special spice he enjoys that I should put on. The main course, a recipe given by a friend, was a Fricassee of Grog, a Hutt-Space delicacy. Her cooking projects have been to make traditional Twi foods edible to others, and so it served my cover.

Serving it on top of rice, after letting a chef taste this as well, I made two plates. As I put on the Governor's special green spice, another was subtly poured in to soak into the rice. Apprentice Syndathik served it, and I set up a can of aerosol in the oven with my pastry shells to give the cannolis an... "explosive" finish. Excusing myself to take a smoke break, letting another chef sample the cream, the Corporal followed after I gave him a cigarra, and Apprentice Syndathik followed to give the Governor's compliments to the chef. They had evidently dealt with rowdy partygoers, and Apprentice Viasma was the last out, with Apprentice Wradaii having kept our exit secure.

The oven seems to have exploded and caused a fire, no casualties. However, our unfortunate Governor suffered a heart attack in all the excitement, and we witnessed his wife mourning outside the restaurant as we slipped away, himself quite dead. By all appearances, a tragic accident.

Final Verdict

Primary and secondary objectives were met, none have reason to suspect us, and what little traces do remain are easily swept under the rug by Sal Temt, such as the oven explosion. The assassination was successful, and if the man is worth his position, he's just received it on a silver platter. A lot of the execution fell to myself with the others supporting and informing, but it seems to have worked out for the best. Five hearing devices and five miniature subvocal microphones have been returned to the Quartermaster for later missions.

For the Empire, for Darth Horuset,
Sergeant Thymius "Savior" Rees

[there seems to be a recipe attached for searing a grog with things such as mushrooms and fresh pan vegetables, and then stewing it in a sauce of the drippings. fricassee de grog.]

Ongoing Crisis
War in the Northern Territories

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

"The Northern Territories shift under the weight of changing times. With the passage of the ICOT, internal strife amongst Imperial Forces in the North has lessened - though never abated. Although the momentum of the Republic has not yet been met entirely, fortification efforts and victorious naval campaigns have evened the footing at least slightly. Eyes align on systems such as Vykos, Nam'ta and Orsus to see how this proceeds.."

((OOC: The Balance of Power system has begun! Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state at the start of the next war arc will determine how strong the Republic will be in the area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
