The Horuset Salvaging Initiative was created with the express purpose of securing material supplies to be salvaged and reused at Sernpidal and fuel the forges of the jewel of the Horuset Powerbase. To this end our focus is on efficiency and volume of material, so that Sernpidal may have the necessary materials for a significant period to come. In this document, we will lay out how the Initiative functions and how other members of the powerbase may contribute to our efforts.
Methods:
With efficiency and volume as our primary guidelines, we have established an effective method for salvaging from space-borne debris fields. This method is as follows:
A team of no less than 20 individuals will be dispatched to the wreckage, of which at least 8 are operational security personel and the remainder specialist engineers and electricians, with the aim of making minimal repairs to allow the wreckage to hyperdrive (assisted or not) out of the system and to Sernpidal for full disassembly. Once aboard, they follow a 5-step method:
Simultaneously with the deployment of the engineer team the IMT’s will commence recovery of loose debris in the field using the cargo recovery nets they are equipped with, bringing this loose debris to the Gage class Th’Zaza’s cargo holds. If larger parts of fighter vessels remain in the debris field, these will be reduced through the use of heavy disassembly tools for ease of storage.
Contributing:
We have recently been approached by several members of the powerbase with the wish to make use of our material and expertise for salvaging operations. Here it is important to reiterate that we exercise these methods in order to support Sernpidal. We do not receive payment for our operations nor do we claim a part of the salvage we return to the forges. In light of those parameters, if one wishes to claim part of the salvaged material from whatever contribution they bring forward, negotiations will be necessary. Small debris may easily be divided by weight, and for a standard rate we hold 30/70% in favour of the Initiative. However, if vessels of considerable size are involved that need extensive breaking-down, we direct negotiations to the salvage officers at Sernpidal as they are more expertly equipped at the materials and components involved and the values of such.
If you acquire information on debris fields that are viable targets for our operations, you may send either Apprentice Sutta’Qo or Apprentice Dutrosu a message with the following information:
- Location of the debris field
- Rough contents of the debris field (Number of vessels, scales, types of vessels, rough quantity of loose debris)
- Origins of the debris field (Groups involved, type of battle)
- Security of the location (Proximity of hostile forces/pirate entities/local resistance)
These details will be taken for evaluation. We will make contact within a week of your suppliance of these details to inform you whether we have approved or disapproved. If approved, the debris field will be put into a queue with priority parameters depending on rank, projected yield and risk factor.
Once we engage operations on a debris field we will contact the supplier of the data to inform them that we have begun operations. If one wishes to inspect operations, they may contact us and we will schedule a visit to the Th’Zaza to allow one to do so.
We do wish to make it abundantly clear that this initiative exists to support Sernpidal and the Horuset Powerbase. Attempts to coopt the initiative for personal glory and gain or to sabotage its operations out of a grudge against its progenitors are acts directly opposed to the efforts of the Horuset Powerbase. They will not be tolerated and will be acted upon with extreme prejudice.
Any further inquiries may be made of either Apprentice Sutta’Qo or Apprentice Dutrosu.
We wish to extend our thanks to Lord Kalkoran for his continued support of our efforts and his gracious supply of his powerbase’s assets to the initiative’s ends.

Once aboard, they follow a 5-step method:
- Assess damage and determine the nearest entry point to the bridge if viable, otherwise engineering decks.
I: Should both be viable and the wreckage is deemed safe, the team will split up to more efficiently work on the required systems.
- Bring generators to emergency operations.
I: If the generators are operational, emergency power should be instated with priority routing to critical systems.
II: If the generators are not operational, use scanners and call for delivery of necessary components. The shuttles will supply the material with a team of no less than 6 individuals.
III: If repair is not viable within reasonable time, proceed to step 4. with IMT support.
- Run system diagnostics and repair critical systems, prioritizing the Hyperdrive.
I: If engines are viable, those should be activated to aid in maneuvering.
II: Luxury systems such as environmental and shields should be repaired if doing so does not interfere with the progress on critical systems.
- Maneuver the vessel, with aid of IMTs if required, to a safe point to engage Hyperdrive.
- Hyperdrive the vessel to the designated recovery zone.
