Homeworld
Myla Tayasha was born on Krolas, one of the 7 moons of Drosa-III, located within the Drosa System.
The Drosa System is located within the Sertar Sector, situated in the Outer-Rim territories of Imperial controlled Space. It is home to 4 Planets, three Terrestrial Planets and one Gas Giant which orbit a singular G-Type Main Sequence Star.
All of the planets within the System are not suitable for terrestrial life, however 2 Moons that orbit the Gas Giant Drosa-III contain atmospheres which are habitable for life.
The Drosa System is renowned for its loyalty to the Sith Empire, largely known for its Mining Economy and its usage for Military Training exercises. The exports of minerals have created a wealthy economy amongst the cities and towns that scatter the Moon of Krolas.
Imperial Traditions are embedded into the society of Krolas, the upper echelons of Krolas Society are dominated by Noble Houses. These Noble Houses have stakes within the Sith, Imperial Military and the Mining Operations that take place within the Drosa System. Nepotism was a large player in these Noble Houses, conducting arranged marriages and having positions of power handed down to Family relatives and offspring.
The Noble Families of Krolas were all pure Human Families, which upheld traditional Imperial values, even through darker times like the invasion of Zakuul.
At the top of the food chain, three major Families held power on Krolas: House Daz, House Tagador and House Gedini. These three families have lived on Krolas for generations, some say they are amongst the first to colonise and settle on the moon of Krolas when the Star System was discovered.
Members of these families have positions within the Empire, from the Military, Navy to the Industrial Complex and Governmental Sectors. They have a large influence and stake in the economy of Krolas, all having private Estates and Manors within the Capital City of Krolas: Krolas City.
The Drosa System was inhabited before the Sith Empire took control of the Star System, however the people that colonised the Drosa System formed a Society with shared ideals and values. This meant that when the Sith Empire discovered the System in the early days of their expansion in the Outer-Rim, the people of the Drosa System happily joined the Empire, quickly integrating their society with the Sith Empires.
Birth
Born 2 ATC, Myla Tayasha was born into Tayasha Family, the youngest of three Children, having an older brother and sister. House Tayasha was one of the many Noble Households that reside on Krolas, scattered across the planet.
Her father: Florrin Tayasha and her mother: Nataya Tayasha were over the moon with the healthy birth of Myla, thanking the staff of Krolas Hospital. After her initial medical checks were completed and she was cleared, Florrin and Nataya took Myla back home, which was a small estate located on the outskirts of the Capital City of Krolas, Krolas City.
House Tayasha was considered a Middle Class family, having some family members within the Imperial Military, however most worked within the planets Government and had positions within the Mining Facilities within the Drosa System. They were far from the upper echelons of Krolas Imperial society, however their name received some respect amongst the Noble families of Krolas.
Childhood
Myla went to a private school, Drosa Academy, which was located within the Capital City. Her schooling was paid for by her parents, which was a privilege amongst the Tayasha family. This did not sit well however with her two older siblings, Jakalis Tayasha and Freya Tayasha, as they both received public schooling. Despite the family being close to each other, this caused some rift between Myla and her two older siblings, often causing fights between the three which resulted in Myla being the victim of bullying at home.
During school, Myla focused hard on her lessons, learning about firstly Imperial Culture, as the academic system was instated by the Empire and Krolas history second. Most students within Drosa Academy did not take a liking to Myla, as despite her being part of a Noble Household, House Tayasha was seen as below most of the other students, who came from more notable Households and families within Krolas society.
Despite the bullying which took place at school, Myla exceeded in her classes, especially within Physical Educational classes. Tutors would praise Myla to her parents about her abilities, seemingly being able to outsmart her classmates instinctively, with one tutor jokingly saying that it was like Myla could read the minds of her classmates making her able to react quicker. While the teacher stated this remark as a joke, that sentence stuck with Florrin and Nataya Tayasha.
Teenage Years
Over the years, Myla began to grow a hatred for Krolas, idolising other planets within the Empire and Noble Houses off-world, which seemed to hold greater values than what she was exposed to on Krolas. She wished she could one day leave Krolas and see Imperial Space, or maybe join the Imperial Military or Navy and never come back to Krolas.
Sadly for Myla, House Tayasha was one of many Middle-class Noble Households, not far from being categorised as a regular family on Krolas, which would be one of millions. While some Uncles and Cousins had jobs within the Empire directly, Myla’s side of the family did not, which meant they were not invited to any events which involved the Empire or Sith, including visits. The only time they got attention from the Empire was during inspections at work at the Mining Facilities they worked at.
Within Krolas society, it is commonplace for arranged marriages to take place, however the process to marriage is different to other Noble Houses off-world. Krolas have unique traditions, some that date back to before the Drosa System joined the Sith Empire. The most notorious tradition that is upheld by the Nobles of Krolas are the Krolas Trials.
The Krolas Trials are a series of challenges and games hosted by the three largest Noble Houses on Krolas, House Daz, House Tagador and House Gedini. There are 4 Trials in total, each having unique challenges set within them.
The First three Trials are difficult tests that consist of survival skills, combat skills and teamwork skills, ultimately building up to the final Trial, known as The Ascendance. These Trials are commonly recorded for entertainment across the Moon of Krolas, along with areas for the public to come and spectate the Krolas Trials. While not largely known throughout the Galaxy, sometimes Imperial Citizens and personnel of the Sith and Imperial Military travel to watch these games for entertainment and recruitment purposes.
Both women and men competed together within the same Trials, meaning only one woman and one male could ultimately win.
Children within Noble Houses began their training for the Krolas Trials at 16, undergoing intense Survival and Combat Training to prepare young generations of Nobles to compete in the Krolas Trials. The victors of the Krolas Trials are granted the choice to choose who they wish to marry, however the victors could not choose each other. It is a most honourable achievement for those who compete within the Krolas Trials.
By the time Myla had reached 16, she would traditionally begin her training for the Ascendance, however this did not happen. The year was 18 ATC and the Eternal Empire had begun its crusade against the Galaxy. Spiralling both the Republic and Sith Empire into chaos and war. Myla was forced not to begin training as the attention of everybody was forcefully dragged elsewhere. Instead, Myla was confined to the small Tayasha Estate and helped the small team of House Servants that worked for the Tayasha Household.
Adulthood
As Myla grew out of her teenage years and became an adult, life did not change much for Myla, it did not change much for anyone. The economy of Krolas and the Drosa System crippled, along with the Galactic Economy, life became difficult for House Tayasha.
By the time Myla was 22 years of age, the year was 24 ATC and the Galactic Alliance had just defeated the Eternal Empire. This shifted the Galaxy into a new era, despite it being a desperate one. With the Eternal Empire gone, the Drosa System slowly began to fall back into normality, despite its crippled economy and lack of Imperial protection.
The time had finally come for Myla, something she had looked forward to her entire miserable life, the Krolas Trials. She began her training, alongside her older brother, Jakalis. The two began with theory, learning history about the Krolas Trials, which shifted to survival and Bushcraft Skills. Eventually physical training came along, getting the two into shape, building their cardio and agility.
Some Noble Families on Krolas would often hire Training Instructors for their children, some with more wealth would hire a Personal Training Instructor for each offspring that was training for the Krolas Trials. This was not a luxury for House Tayasha. Both Myla and Jakalis trained under the same Instructor, which would continue for the next three years.
Between training sessions, the Instructor quickly realised that Myla was very different to Jakalis, showing higher rates of progress and the ability to outmaneuver and sometimes predict what her brother would do. This drew great interest to the Instructor, who privately began to collect data on Myla, as he developed a theory about her.
Present Day
The year was now 27 ATC and Myla was 25 years old. Her and Jakalis’ training had come to an end, they were ready for the trials.
While the final few months were enclosed, the Training Instructor believed his theories about Myla were correct. He brought the Data he had collected to her parents, Florrin and Nataya Tayasha, which shocked them both. At first, they didn't believe him, brushing off his theory. However, a memory came to their minds, one which by this time they had forgotten about. It was the remark that a teacher had made about Myla back when she was young, that it was like she could read the minds of her classmates. Florrin and Nataya took the data that the Instructor had noted down and made a nerving, yet eager Holo-call.
The final few months had past and Myla Tayasha and her brother Jakalis began the Krolas Trials. The first three Trials were more a series of tests, ones that would challenge the training they had gone through. Survival skills, wrestling, races. The three tests were more ceremonial, however contestants could still be knocked out before the Ascendance even happened. Of course, Holo-probes and members of the public would attend to watch the Krolas Trials for entertainment. It wasn’t unheard of that members of the Imperial Military and Navy would attend, commonly people were from the Drosa System, since the Krolas Trials were largely unheard of and cared little outside of Krolas Society. Many taking part in the Trials typically used them as ways to train to get themselves ready for the Military.
Myla had completed the first three Trials and had made it through to qualify for the Ascendance along with 50 other competitors. Unfortunately, her brother Jakalis had failed, which was by the hands of Myla. She beat him in hand combat within the third Trial, quickly aggressively, using the anger she had built up from his bullying over the years to choke him out in a submission, almost killing him. Two officials had to drag her off Jakalis as she seemed to go into an enraged trance.
It was the day of the Ascendance and Myla along with the other 49 contestants were preparing to begin the Ascendance. Before the Ascendance begins, it is common tradition for a single visitor to come and speak with the contestants before the challenge begins. These visitors are only allowed two minutes to speak before the contestants are sedated and placed into the arena.
Most contestants were visited by their Training Instructors, quickly going through last minute guidance or gameplans before the challenge began. Some contestants were visited by a family member, typically giving them a motive or target which was commonly a rival Household. However, Myla was not visited family or her Instructor, she was visited by a figure in dark, ominous robes, who had their face hidden.
Myla was confused at first, until the figure revealed themself, it was a Sith. Myla questioned why he was there, despite being extremely honoured to finally be in the presence of a real Sith. Commonly only the upper class Noble Families and upper echelons of Krolas Society were graced by the presence of Sith, especially during recent times following the war with Zakuul.
The Sith revealed to Myla that he was summoned by her parents and Instructor, believing that Myla was Force Sensitive. At first, Myla did not believe him, though she knew she was different and had thought it for years, however classmates and relatives simply thought she was just strange, which was another piece of ammunition to her being bullied.
The Sith gave her a simple piece of advice, to use her emotion, use her anger and resentment towards her home and life to fuel her thoughts and ability. Myla nodded, saying she would try before she was sedated and taken away to begin the Ascendance.
Cheers were heard from crowds gathered on Skiffs, Holo-cam Probes flew across the thick jungles of Krolas, which was where the arena was located. The 50 contestants were dropped in random locations across the arena. Once the contestants awoke from their sedation, the Challenge began.
The Ascendance commonly lasted days, and this Ascendance was no different. Myla began to scavenge the Jungle, obtaining fruits to eat and located a small spring of water which she could use as a water source. This would become her camp.
Myla spent two days at this water source, listening to loud announcements of contestants being eliminated which echoed across the jungle filled valley where the Ascendance took place. It got to a point where Myla lost count, however she had not seen anyone so far. This was about to change.
One evening, Myla was filling a small water bottle which she had found from a nearby abandoned building when she felt a strange feeling within her. It was a feeling like she was being watched. She quickly stood to her feet and turned round before being speared into the ground by somebody charging at her. It was another contestant. A human male, roughly the same age as her.
The two tussled on the floor before Myla was able to break free. The man had a small Stun Baton in his hand, something he would have looted during his time surviving in the challenge. Before he could get a change, Myla charged at him and grabbed his arm, which quickly shifted into a grapple. Myla, using all her strength, managed to pull his arm towards her, biting the hand which had held the Baton. He yelled out in pain, dropping the Baton. This did not stop the contestor however, who picked her up and slammed her onto the ground.
Despite the common ways of eliminating contestors, this fight had gotten bloodier and more serious than most. The man fell into survival mode and began to throw vicious punches at Myla, sitting on top of her. She did her best to defend herself, however her guard was dropping and more punches slipped through and hit her. Stunned and dazed, Myla closed her eyes, however she could only picture one thing, the Sith that visited her and the words he spoke.
Myla focused, the man continued to throw everything he could into his punches, yelling out as he did so. Myla tried to reach for the Baton, however it was out of reach. Her entire mind was filled with hurt and rage from the beating she was getting, however after a moment, the Baton seemed to shake, rustling the leaves it laid on. Myla let out a scream, reaching as far as she could while trying to protect herself with her other arm. Suddenly, the Baton flew into the firm grip of Myla’s hand and she smacked the Man across the head, knocking him out. She stumbled to her feet and began to repeatedly hit the contestant in the head with the Baton, over and over and over. With each strike, she got more angry, more enraged, letting out a scream until it was suddenly cut off.
A hand gripped her mouth tightly and another hand grabbed the Baton, ripping it out of her hand. She tried to break free from the hold but could not and was firmly held until she calmed down. Largely from exhaustion.
Some silent moments passed, Myla was finally let go, stumbling forward. Her eyes locked upon the contestant who she was fighting, who by this point, had little of his face left. It was completely crushed and pulverised by the repeated strikes with the Baton, he was dead.
The figure that held her back congratulated her. It was a voice that she recognised, it was the Sith that spoke with her before the Ascendance.
The Sith simply offered his hand and asked her to follow. The sound of Probes and Skiffs could be heard above the Jungle canopy approaching. With little to no choice, Myla followed the Sith into the dense Jungle.
It was a long walk, with no words spoken between the two. Eventually they arrived at an Imperial Shuttle parked deep within the Jungle, which they both boarded. Myla strapped herself into one of the chairs as the Shuttle took off. While she was confused, she also knew what was happening. It was like she could feel it within her, where she was being taken. Her gaze was locked onto the cockpit of the Shuttle, which suddenly lit up as it jumped into Hyperspace.
The Shuttle jumped out of Hyperspace, the Imperial Pilots began security procedures and began descending towards its destination. Myla was still strapped in the seat, however the Sith gestured to her to get up and look out of the cockpits window. She got up and made her way over, looking out of the window, her eyes instantly looking at the planet in front of her. It was Korriban.
