Rhelg Power Plant Incursion / Scouting Aurek
Primary Objectives:
Reconnoiter the area around the Power Plant and nearby abandoned village.
Retrieve any further information or data from that area (body cams, recordings, datapads)
Ascertain if the organization ‘Witnesses of Lament’ are involved on Rhelg
Attempt to make visual contact with / confirm the presence of a Sithspawn of a similar categorisation to Q-126
Participants / Team members:
Sith Sarias (Mission lead)
Apprentice Viren Sekker (Mission Second)
Apprentice Zartilda Varrixon
Apprentice Rhave Vipion
Mission breakdown:
Upon arrival, the team was ordered to begin a sweep of the nearby area - searching for anything that may have been missed by Leviathan squad on their first visit. Apprentices Varrixon and Vipion made use of Stealth Field Generators to scout unseen, recovering several data-points (see below) from corpses.
Meanwhile Sith Sarias and Apprentice Sekker made contact with a cleanup squad (Cleanup Squad Besh) tasked with disposing of bodies from within the abandoned village, who were busy piling corpses into a pit to incinerate them as per cleanup protocol.
The troopers seemed on-edge, significantly more anxious than would usually be expected of Imperial personnel in the field; it is unknown if this is a factor of prolonged deployment or the environment they found themselves in. There is presently no evidence of an extraneous factor caused by the Sithspawn Creature.
Following conversation with Sergeant Tivan, it was learned five other cleanup squads present occupied the area, under the orders of Major Elzaeth (Commanding officer), and Lord Gret (attendant on behalf of Darth Krovos). The Sergeant agreed to carry a datachit for future communications, to both mentioned parties. Lastly, they were informed to announce the team’s arrival to the powerplant ahead of time, as Recon Squad Dorn presently was deployed. This was done to avoid further strain upon the present mentality of the imperials.
Once the sweep of the area had been completed, the team was ordered to the Power Plant to assess the location following Leviathan Squad’s action there.
Within the plant, more Imperial troopers were encountered (Recon Squad Dorn) - a protection detail left behind to secure the facility and ensure it remains out of the hands of the insurgents who had previously taken it. These troopers were similarly on-edge to their counterparts in the abandoned village, but consented to answer questions from Sith Sarias while Apprentices Sekker, Varrixon and Vipion continued into the facility itself.
From the conversation of the Recon squad, it was learned at least three masked sith were present during the assault on the powerplant, one being behind the painting of the symbol. Furthermore, the state of the imperials was confirmed to be due to high stress, muddy and cold conditions on top of unexspected high casualties bringing low morale. Rumors of something in the swamp had been dismissed in favor of retaining said morale, their higher ups even dismissing the Sithspawn’s howling as mountain winds. Due to its ability to hide, it is uncertain if the higher ups were aware of its existence, or an intentional diversion to ensure morale.
Within the facility, signs of several engagements were evident; blaster fire and explosives from either the insurgents or Leviathan squad - but also signs of lightsaber damage to the floor and walls. It is believed that this indicates the presence of the group of interest, Witnesses of Lament, whose presence was also noted on Jaguada. It is believed they are responsible for the creation of the Sithspawn present on Rhelg as well. Painted on the back wall of the facility in what is believed to be blood, the symbol associated with the Witnesses of Lament (the ‘Blood-Eye’) was also present, further indicating their involvement.
Upon exiting the facility, having found little else of note within, the team heard a disturbance come from outside the facility, after the Vornskr sensed the creature. Recon Squad Dorn was ordered to see the other mentioned squads in the area retreat to their base, and to remain on standby within the powerplant.
Visual contact was made with the abandoned village, where a pillar of smoke could be seen - in the Force, a presence reminiscent of Sithspawn Q-126 could be felt, albeit with clear differences in the apparent ‘personality’ of this creature.
The creature was already fleeing when the team arrived at the abandoned village, its appearance obscured behind the pillar of smoke which was rising from the pile of corpses gathered by the cleanup squad.
Samples were taken from the bodies By Sith Sarias, their state documented and three body cameras recovered.
With Sergeant Tivan’s demise, Recon Squad Dorn agreed to establish communication lines between their commanding officer, and House Horuset.
Conclusions (Apprentice Sekker’s notes):

Conclusions (Apprentice Sekker’s notes):
- The new Sithspawn has a distinct personality, habits, goals and tactics from the Quiet Speaker / Q-126, but is similarly if not more dangerous.
- This new Sithspawn has presumably been created by the Group of Interest, Witnesses of Lament, and uncovering this organization and putting a stop to them should be considered a priority going forward.
- Already this new Sithspawn has demonstrated increased capabilities from its predecessor;
- Able to hit a high speed moving target at range with a thrown projectile;
- Potentially able to dampen or otherwise conceal its presence in the Force, enabling a greater degree of surprise and stealth;
- Recognition of incoming Horuset forces as a threat to itself or its goals;
- Desire to remain hidden from Horuset / Sith forces at present, potentially indicating increased intelligence;
- Despite its presumed size and clear strength (demonstrated in the damage caused to its surroundings) the creature leaves little to no tracks - potentially indicating either an ability to conceal its presence.
