Public Call for Operation Team Assembly
'Shadow of Avarice'

As the viewer opens the Operation file the usual section where a holo-recording plays is a simple split second of static before a standard text file is displayed.

Mission Summary: Rumours indicate a minor industrial family on the frontier world of Equanus have had a sudden change in lifestyle, lavishly spending credits that they should not have to spend. It is suspected they have turned traitor and profit from recent Republic trade deals with the Muuns, selling resources to neutral factions to earn Republic credits through a proxy. A team is to access their primary shipping compound and locate their shipping charters for evidence of smuggling and illegal profiteering. Cutting this supply line will restrict the flow of resources out of Imperial space and into Republic.

Location:
Rasfort manufacturing compound, Equanus.

Objectives:
1. Infiltrate the manufacturing compound.
2. Locate the shipping manifests and secure evidence of smuggling.

Time frame:
The family may have time to purge their records if given a period of four weeks or greater.

Estimated Party size:
 2+

We arrived on the facility grounds on Equanus in the middle of the night. There were only a small number of guards securing the gate, and a meagre patrol around the facility. Both of us sneaked past using our Stealth Field Generators. Apprentice Sekker provided a distraction and I sliced the keycard for the main entrance to the data-holding building. Then, one of the remaining guards was incapacitated, while I devised a plan that would have most of the personnel evacuate the building, by rupturing several canisters of noxious gas. With the evacuation in order I succeeded in downloading the shipping manifest, as well as acquiring a datapad and a few other hard-cover documents available in the office. Upon leaving, I noticed the presence of what appeared to be Huttese-speaking smugglers, that had arrived in the premises to check what caused the leak. I had managed to gather all the information that was available in the main administrator's terminal before departing in haste. Reviewing the files, everything in the shipping manifest seems completely clean, to a suspicious degree, but the presence of smugglers was a big tell, and so was the fact that there were nameless crates abound that were unaccounted for. That, and the sight of a suspicious-looking and poorly-maintained cargo ship at the very back of the compound. I hope the information gathered has been enough to incriminate these pests.

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
