Kaas Research Labs - Rules and Information

Overview
Formerly known as the 'Secondary Labs', the formerly private lab of Sith Sarias has been opened for the powerbase to use for the sake of research on behalf of the powerbase. Located at the foot of a large hill in the jungles of Dromund Kaas, it sits secluded and well-guarded in a fully outfitted outpost with walls and barricades. Sithhounds, droids and imperial troops of Atrum Logistics enforce this security - safeguarding the knowledge and personnel within.

The lab is sectioned into three distinct sections, with accompanying medical bay and central hall.

Rules
The labs are under required surveillance in every room, at every hour of the day. Patrols are conducted four times in a 24-hour period cycle, outside active hours as to not disrupt work conducted. The rules below are expected to be followed by anyone entering, even if simply paying visit. Should anyone be found breaching these rules, they may find themselves banned, or be subject to punishment by Sith Sarias.
  • No Violence - No usage of weapons, melee or ranged, force powers and otherwise are permitted within the lab. Exceptions to force powers are made, if used in conduct in relation to research and experiments.
  • Security Checkpoint - Acolytes and visitors not of House Horuset, are to leave behind all weaponry within the security lockers at the checkpoint. Additionally, any excess gear or inventory can securely be left behind, and retrieved on departure. Neophytes/Apprentices and above may keep weapons on them, but are asked to refrain from using them, adhering to Rule 1.
  • Keeping Clean - Upon entering and departing the labs, a general disinfectant spray will be applied when walking through each hallway. Beyond such measures, you are exspected to clean any equipment and machine, before and after use. Supplies can be found in each respective lab section, and are to be disposed off within the bins in the same section - this will reduce the risk of cross-contaminations.
  • No Theft - Should any supplies go unaccounted for, research material be lost or otherwise, the culprit will be apprehended and face consequences relative to the severity of theft. Regardless, they will face a ban from the labs.
  • Guests - Any unregistered guests, or those not in service to House Horuset, must be permitted by Sith Sarias before entry. Refer to Application for use, for further information.
  • No feeding of the Nexu - The Nexu guarding the bestiary is not to be fed or otherwise disturbed in its duty.
  • Use of Gizka - A small pen of Gizka are maintained for use in the organic lab ONLY. They must not be removed, and any subject not fit to re-enter the pen, but be neutralized and packaged for disposal.

Primary and Flora Labs

Spoiler:
For any in-depth scans, data treatment and overall advanced microscope use, the primary labs serves such a function. Outfitted with a full-body scanner, high-end microscope with small and large entry sections and a full holodisplay, this can accompany even the most stubborn of samples.

The sealed, smaller flora lab on the side contains the flora samples currently in study, or under observation in an environmentally controlled setting. Any plant wished to be examined closer, beyond a biological scanner, is to be removed and returned once testing has concluded.

Inorganic Lab and Forge

Spoiler:
The inorganic labs holds displays of low-risk work or creations of those in service to House Horuset. From low-tier sith amulets and old armoring, it serves a fitting environment to study and research in relative silence. A small workshop is present within the depths of this area, with relevant tools for craftsmanship and artisans.

Opposite can the forge be found, fully furnished with relative machinery and tool shelves. A lightsaber forge is present as well, though its requested a use of both forge and lightsaber forge, is not conducted at the same time.

Organic Lab and Bestiary

Spoiler:
At the very end of the labs, the Organic section can be found - primarily reserved for any testing or experiments with beasts or humanoid subjects. Holding tables equipped for autopsy and surgery, surrounding equipment can accommodate live readings of subjects and monitoring vital signs. Selection of common painkillers, stims, medicine and medical supplies are found in shelves nearby - ready to meet any situations arising.

The bestiary holds a smaller assorted of beasts from Sith Sarias' personal stock of subjects. They may be used for smaller-scale testing, however a request is to be placed before such. One may bring in their own subjects for testing, and store them in the bestiary, if it can securely be accommodated - such has to be approved firstly.

Application for Use
Anyone who wishes to make use of the lab, must contact Sith Sarias directly for approval. This request is to include a summary of why you wish to make use of it, which lab and for how long. A follow-up report on projects studied there, are to be provided regularly - dependent on the length of said project.

Currently, the forging Initiative has free use of the forge. The immortus branch and its members, has been granted access as well. Those already holding access, retain this still.

Ongoing Crisis
War in the Northern Territories

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

"The Northern Territories shift under the weight of changing times. With the passage of the ICOT, internal strife amongst Imperial Forces in the North has lessened - though never abated. Although the momentum of the Republic has not yet been met entirely, fortification efforts and victorious naval campaigns have evened the footing at least slightly. Eyes align on systems such as Vykos, Nam'ta and Orsus to see how this proceeds.."

((OOC: The Balance of Power system has begun! Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state at the start of the next war arc will determine how strong the Republic will be in the area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
