Moff Fornam, Fleet Admiral
The Broken Man

Description: Fornam's tale is one of two men; a valiant naval officer, and a twitching, ruined wreck of a man. The truth of this tale is that no single one telling is true - but a mixture. Fornam rose to prominence as a member of a minor naval family from Thule, who were part of the millions of Thule natives who rose to swear themselves to the Empire immediately upon its resurgence. Born into such an atmosphere, it should be no surprise that he joined the Imperial Navy and served with distinction. A man who took well to his education and was known for his record of good, clean, precise manuvers, operating his duties, then later ship, and finally his fleets like a surgeon wields a scalpel. It was in this form that Fornam earned plaudits for his service in the orbital battles to isolate and siege Mon Calamari, but the assaults on the planet stalled - the military assets there too intense, the terrain too hostile, the Empire's focus too divided. That has ushered in the current state of affairs for the East for the last several decades, a siege of Mon Cala, and much else on the front quiet. This has not been good for the careers of those stationed there, but many believed Fornam's bright star at least would survive this status quo. Unfortunately, as Fornam's capital ship, 'The Tide-Reaver' was patrolling the eastern galactic border, his cockpit was attacked by a strange, extra-galactic humanoid creature. He was horrendously injured, and many of his command staff killed. Fornam was pieced back together, mended with cybernetics and the finest medical staff the East had to spare. But his mind could not be salvaged so easily, he has struggled with intense PTSD ever since, as well as a series of tics and smaller anxieties. Desperate to escape the galactic borderlands fearing a massive invasion of unknown forces from beyond the galaxy, he forged an alliance with Darth Gorrovitz during the ICOT, and secured an appointment as his Fleet Admiral in the wake of Moff Elverid's transfer to the North. Could this be a chance at restoration for poor Fornam, or will he find the enemy he knows as formidable as the one didn't?

Moff Invitz
The Spider

Description: A man of shadows and subtlety, Moff Invitz has been a long-time member of the Empire’s intelligence community. Small in stature and softly spoken, Invitz’s enemies have a track record of underestimating him before disappearing from the public record entirely, ending up an unidentified corpse on a remote neutral world. Beginning his career as a military attaché to Imperial Intelligence assets in the galactic north, Invitz ensured his good fortunes through his ruthless streak and his natural talent for gathering, sorting and acting on information. It did not hurt, of course, that Invitz just so happened to stumble upon the secrets of the rich and powerful of the Empire. Eventually entering Imperial Intelligence proper and surviving the transition into Sith Intelligence, Invitz earned his sobriquet of ‘the Spider’ through a small collection of feats. The first is the impressive web of contacts and secrets he has woven for himself, the second being his strange, disconcertingly quick mannerisms and movements and the third being his unusual cybernetic hands. Long-fingered and able to segment into a veritable quiver of manipulators, data spikes and other devices, both of the hands look uncanny and tend to autonomously skitter across various surfaces around him. One of the most senior members of the intelligence community in the Northern Territories at the time of the ICOT, he was the expected successor of Moff Klovin, but surprising many he instead moved to the Western Territories as the left hand of Darth Gorrovitz. Of particular note was his betrothal to Duchess Svendel, the ruler of Divora within the Hapes Sector and a major pro-Imperial agitator.

Svendel of Melisann, Duchess of Divora
Callow Beauty

Description: Or as she prefers to be called; Duchess Svendel of Divora, Lady of the Hapann Cluster, Marchioness of the Invoratan Plains and the Free-City of Melisann, Guardian of the Pass of Melisann, Lady of Kosvitz, Gortrenn and Voratanix, Rifle-Maiden, Observer of the Gunsmoke Court, Mistress of the Guilds of Divora, Voted Lieutenant of the 1st Divoran Chevaliers, Colonel of the Melisann Dragoons, Heir Pursuant of Arabanth.

Svendel is a member of Divora’s leading family, and the current ruler of the planet. Fabulously beautiful even by the standards of the Hapan peoples, Svendel is thus inhumanly beautiful by those of baseline humanity. Blighted by vanity, a certain vapidity born of a burgeoning spice habit and a self-importance typical of high nobility, the Duchess is one of an order of Rifle World nationalists who believes that the growing influence of Hapes upon the region is an affront to their ancient sovereignty, dating back to the reign of the Lorell Raiders. As one of the senior members of the Gunsmoke Court, an old noble congregation from the Rifle Worlds, Svendel is the Court’s voice to the Empire. She was sent to the ICOT to secure Imperial support for the Rifle World’s independence as well as a Sith husband to seal the compact. Though she seems to have failed in finding a Sith husband, she has returned betrothed to a Moff and now stands at the head of the rapidly militarising Rifle Worlds, who threaten the influence of both Hapes and the Republic in the region.

Darth Ordovis
The Chem-Baron

Description: Darth Ordovis is certainly not the archetypal Dark Lord. A heavily overweight Twi’lek, Ordovis began his rise through the ranks during an age in which he couldn’t plausibly have very many more disadvantages. Yet rise he did, defying traditionalist sentiment and the condemnation of his physical condition through determination, intellect and the ability to fade into the background of a situation when needed. He joined the Sphere of Biotic Science, where he proved a seminally talented chemist. A Sith during the conflicts over Quesh, Ordovis became something of a stim and adrenal magnate, a significant supplier of the Imperial military and a driver of research into the industry. The Dark Lord is wealthy even by the standards of a Darth, and controls significant industrial assets across the Southern Territories. One of the major sources of back channels to the Hutt Cartel, Ordovis has strong alliances with several influential Hutts and believes firmly that the future for the Empire lies in forging closer ties to the Cartel, never mind that such a turn of events would make him one of the Empire's richest men. Walking the halls of Imperial power in robes of elaborate silk, smelling strongly of the sickly sweet chemical reek of flowers, Ordovis is not a popular man but neither can he be said to boast many enemies. What ties and contacts Ordovis made over the ICOT can only be speculated on…

Moff Cambiar, Sector Moff of the Brema Sector
The Champion of Sullust

Description: The Cambiars are a long serving family of Kaasian Imperials with a history dating back to their earlier members earning a reputation as skilled shipwrights and naval officers during the exile. In recent years they have become influential in the Southern Territories, specifically in the Sullust Enclave. Moff Cambiar was a noteworthy admiral during the conquest of Sullust, known for his quick wit, poise and ability to respond to enemy engagements with an almost instinctual ease. During the final ground assaults on the planet, Cambiar was touring a fortress when members of the Sullustan resistance triggered an explosion within a nearby volcano, flooding the fortress with lava. Cambiar was horrendously burned across much of his body, but was carried to a shuttle and managed to escape. Hailed as a hero, he was given the responsibility of Sector Moff of Brema, and thus controls arguably one of the most important Sectors in the Empire. A rail thin, stern-faced man, Cambiar brooks no fools and respects only hard-won strength, he is also one of very few remaining traditionalist Moffs. He no longer visits the surface of Sullust, preferring to spend his time on his fleets or on the orbital shipyards over the world. Some claim that this is due to a crippling fear of fire and magma, but never within his earshot. During the ICOT Cambiar seems to have forged an alliance with the Horusets, paved by a mutual dislike of aliens as well as the Moff’s nephew, Captain Alex Cambiar, being the right hand of Darth Kalkoran’s former Apprentice. He has turned his attention to consolidating the disparate southern enclaves of the Empire, and joining them to the crucial hyper routes through Hutt Space that allow them to survive.

Darth Sophis
The Patrician

Description: Aristophon Cecrophis was born into House Cecrophis during an age in which Ziost was second planet of the Empire, and in which his House was one of the oldest and most respected of the planet's bloodlines. From the Cecrophis estates on the chilly shores of the Hyperborean Sea, Aristophon was raised to take the throne of his family. Groomed to be a philosopher, a diplomat and an administrator, he took to these disciplines well - but none more so than the former. Raised not as a traditionalist, but as a firm believer in aristocratic superiority, the inherent flawedness of any culture stemming from a planet outside of the Stygian Caldera, and in the glory of the Empire, Aristophon was the envy of the Ziosti socialite sphere. His handsome, aquiline profile earned him many suitors, and he started a romance with the heir of House Leontis, a smaller noble house with a military focus also from the region of his birth.  He graduated from the Kaasian Academy, and entered the Sphere of Sith Philosophy as an Apprentice, and then later a Sith. His romance with his sweetheart was formalised into a marriage, and soon after a family as their first child was born. Then, the seminal tragedy of the Empire struck. Lord Sophis, as he was known at the time, was heading home when he was prevented from making planetfall and placed in one of the orbital stations. A crisis had hit the planet, and an evacuation was taking place. Before his family could join him, Sophis was forced to watch his planet die, devoured by his own Emperor. Many say that the grey streak in Sophis' hair dates back to this event, growing in when he watched all he cared for die, hopeless to intervene. Despite this loss, or perhaps because of it, he threw himself into his work. Becoming a Darth a few years later, he now heads an ICOT-forged scheme to spread Imperial culture across the Outer Territories, though the cane headed by a representation of Ziost's orb in his hands stands as a reminder of his love for what was lost.

Apprentice Vers Onfim
The Hyena

Description: A young Apprentice to Darth Sophis, Vers is a member of a particularly minor Kaasian noble family from the northern mountains - not entirely far from the Horuset estate. He has distinguished himself not by his blood however, or even some glowingly idealised career as a Sith. No, Apprentice Onfim is a dangerous man, and valued for it. Mischievous and cunning, Vers is a devilishly talented combatant with a reputation for low blows and an array of tricks that speak to an impressive resourcefulness. Possessed of a certain feral intellect and a seemingly limitless ambition, the handsome young man has been vocally opposed to what he sees as a certain unimaginativeness and inflexibility in the ranks of the Empire, though much like his master he too is a proponent of aristocratic power. Onfim is a darling of Kaas' courtly scene, both for his roguish good lucks, his daring sense of humour and his surprising ability as a painter, which is in demand amongst the noble houses. As would be expected as an Apprentice at an occasion as rarified as the ICOT, Apprentice Onfim was credited with no direct advancements, but many do say that he was one of the most outspoken enemies of Mor-Vardrin at the ICOT, perhaps even more so than the Horusets.  His rivalry with Lord Verbenz-Grallo is well known, apparently resulting from the Apprentice insulting him during the ICOT, and a duel has been issued between the two, albeit postponed for now. He is apparently acting as the right hand of his master in the outer territories, walking their limits to inspect the progress of his master's project.

Aristocra Praaumi'ra'ovos, Emissary of the Seventh Ruling Family
The Princess

Description: Praaumi'ra'ovos, or Miraov, as non-Chiss more often know her, is a lesser scion of The Seventh Ruling Family, and thus a member of the Chiss Ascendancy's dominant upper class. Said to have a better tolerance for force sensitives than most of her people, albeit not a like for them, the Aristocra has served for much of her life within the Empire. Originally an attache to fleets in the nearby Northern Territories, Miraov even served as Chiss attache to a young Captain Egeltrud Mor-Vardrin many years ago. With a reputation for a potent dislike of any excess, informality or inefficiency, the Aristocra earned both enemies and, crucially, friends within the Empire. Her old ally Mor-Vardrin was one of these, as is Moff Invitz. She was dispatched as the emissary to the ICOT by the Ascendancy, and she can be expected to be one of the major voices of the Chiss in the Northern Territories going forwards.

Darth Zudikas
The Dark Council's Emmisary

Description: Darth Zudikas is an influential Darth within the Sphere of Galactic Influence and reportedly a close confidant of Darth Xarion; his ties to the Dark Councilor rumored to hail back to the Cold War in which he supported the, at the time, Lord Xarion in a conflict with Lord Anathal which briefly disrupted trade across the Stygian Caldera nebula. Since that time Darth Zudikas has developed a fearsome reputation as both a skilled diplomat and war leader. In recent years he has been instrumental in the Sith Empire's ongoing efforts to consolidate control over the fringe systems between the Empire and the Galactic Republic through shrewd diplomacy, the covert manipulation of local politics and military political intimidation or annexation. Most recently he has been seen in the Atrivis sector, acting as the Dark Council's emissary. Coordinating the Empire's plans, in the wake of the ICOT, to seize control over the entire sector, at any means necessary.

Ongoing Crisis
War in the Northern Territories

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

"The Northern Territories shift under the weight of changing times. With the passage of the ICOT, internal strife amongst Imperial Forces in the North has lessened - though never abated. Although the momentum of the Republic has not yet been met entirely, fortification efforts and victorious naval campaigns have evened the footing at least slightly. Eyes align on systems such as Vykos, Nam'ta and Orsus to see how this proceeds.."

((OOC: The Balance of Power system has begun! Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state at the start of the next war arc will determine how strong the Republic will be in the area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
