What do I get when I join?
As an Acolyte
Acolytes are given four things when they arrive, with anything else on their person taken and locked away, that is a set of robes, a training blade, a House holocommunicator and a House datapad. What you might get along the way is entirely the business of your RP and as such I shan't state any OOC imposed restrictions here. These technological devices come with a Horuset account to connect to our servers and use to access the Imperial holonet. Acolytes are ICly restricted in access to many things, however everything in the IC section of enjin, unless stated otherwise, is accessible on that account. This also accounts to access to the library effects as well; acolytes are not given access to the most ancient and informative texts however some basic guides and certain pieces of primary lore we collect IC would be accessible.
As an Imperial
Imperials arrive with a uniform and transfer orders. After a brief check compared to their background report they are shown to their bunks and given access to the armoury to be used to withdraw uniform and weapons when necessary by way of their credentials. This also allows them to access the Horuset servers and the Imperial holonet. A House holocommunicator and datapad is also given as part of standard kit. Information in the library would mostly be restricted to Imperial memoirs, strategy guides and field manuals. However increased rank will bring with it increased accessibility of archives and thus less limits on exactly what could be accessed.
The IC realities of the Horuset Enjin you may not have considered
IC in OOC?
Now, obviously the site is divided into an OOC and IC area for the forums, but the OOC does in places have ICly authored pieces. This can cause a little confusion so additions of fluff pieces can allow for the inference of what is an OOC and what is an IC piece. They also add flair to some of the pieces written and aesthetically can be more pleasing for all involved who want to enjoy your brilliant writings! Do not think everything IC must be in the IC section and that it cannot stretch into places in the OOC section, use your own judgement and all will be fine.
IC Realities
Whilst everyone in the Houses has their own little account and not everything they do is public to everyone there are a few realities people might not realise. Your activities are tracked; your work on the holonet, files attached to your account and even devices that are registered to the Horuset servers will be monitored using systems and surveillance. Why? Because we RP in a militaristic-autocratic regime totally paranoid and obsessed with traitors. Even IRL we are monitored in our western societies, and so in such a repressive regime the idea that our characters are monitored is hardly a stretch.
This doesn't mean everything you write ICly can be seen by these ghouls of the net, taking appropriate measures can hide information from this, however in IC pieces this MUST be made very clear - as in what measures are taken - because otherwise ICly it will be assumed to originate from a Horuset section and if your character is spamming things that might get them into trouble then they could be picked up by those scary people with guns and bags to go over your head.

Enjin has been engineered and architected by myself, and whilst I would encourage you, if you have any issues, to speak to me about it I also do not do so alone. Any of the officers or sub-officers will be able to support you OOCly on here and answer any IC questions about what characters can and can't do with our IC servers.
