The Notes of a Vipion

#3
Entry 3: Meaning behind a Name.

Power. Where does it originate? In the manner of how you speak? How you wield a weapon? The manner how to take a life or spare one? It starts in a form that many would not expect: a name. There is power behind the examples I have given, and there are other examples, of course. Yet, how I understand it, by mentioning a name, people will know what power lies in that person, whether the power is portrayed in a positive or negative light. Most Sith do not care about their names, as they seek to show power in other means, which is not necessary a negative aspect, but more of beginning your journey in the middle and not at the start.

To show power, is to get others to know your name. The more your name is uttered on various lips, the more power you gain. A name leaves a legacy, and it is up to the future generations to ensure the name continues to be strong and worthy. However, life is not perfect. There will be those who carry a powerful name, and just decides to bring dishonour to it with no gain nor value. This is what happened to the name of Vipion.

One man was responsible of bringing utter shame and disarray to my family name, even though he holds this proud name. All I can hope is that my Uncle will see the errors in his ways, realise that he chose to side with imbeciles, and abandon a treaty between our family and the Horusets. Maybe it was his betrayal that drove my father away. It matters not, my Uncle matters not. It is up to me now to continue the legacy left by my father, and by my grandfather.

I am both nervous and excited to embark on this journey, just like my ancestors who fought hard and gave it their all to ensure that the name Vipion would persevere. I am now in the footsteps and the shadow of my ancestors, and I ask for their guidance. I will stop at nothing to have the name Vipion strong once again, to be rid of the shame that has fallen on this name, and see the legacy continue for generations to come. I refuse to let my family down. I am a true Vipion, and I will see my family's name restored. Nothing and no one, not even my Uncle, will get in my way.

Soti tuti ri Vipion.

Pure is the Vipion.

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
