A Rocky Past

Mission Report

The following is a summary mission report on the events that transpired on the Operation: "A Rocky Past". Our strike team consisted of myself, Apprentice Vaenra, Apprentice Cerberus, Acolyte Valqine, Acolyte Nobrcer and Acolyte Corran. We made our way to Yavin IV with Apprentice Vaenra in the cockpit, a rough landing but stable enough to get us on the ground without attracting the attention of the local Massassi population. Once landed we began proceeding to the nearby temple.

Outside the walls of the temple we came across a camp belonging to the Imperial Reclamation Service however it appears they had been decimated some time before we arrived, from the looks of the damage caused, likely Massassi ambush. The group began inspecting the camp for any remaining data or notes about the site. Acolyte Valqine presented a tablet he discovered in the wreckage which appeared to be written in the Sith language. Apprentice Vaenra acted as translator but it appears much of it was Sith lore, at any rate, the tablet was recovered for further study. Apprentice Cerberus recovered some notes written in incomprehensible basic produced by the excavation team and kept them on his person for the large duration of the mission.

With the camp producing little in the way of results, we entered the temple to follow up on any potential leads. After some minor exploration, a second tablet was recovered from one of the antechambers off of the main atrium. The area was flooded but no visible damage was done by the moisture to the tablet. Again it appeared to be stories of the Sith Lord Naga Sadow recorded for posterity. Acolyte Valqine meanwhile had remained in the camp trying to gather further data, although after some time according to acolytes Nobrcer and Corran, a siren went off outside. Apprentice Cerberus investigated promptly yet did not return for some time, as such exploration of the temple was left to Apprentice Vaenra, myself and the acolytes.

We attempted to proceed downstairs however found that the area was flooded and as such with Apprentice Cerberus being the one present with breathing apparatus, he was called in to retrieve what artifacts or history may have been restorable. We ventured upstairs, at which point we encountered a table on the far side of a collapse in the second level, Apprentice Vaenra approached and grabbed the contents including a fractured and broken lightsaber and some leftover notes. Meanwhile I managed to recover a functioning portable Ciphering tool which helped to decode some of the gibberish which had been written on the notes left behind. These notes made mention of Lord Valgard and as such will be worthy of study.

The acolytes meanwhile simply remained in the stairwell, chatting. Out of sheer stupidity acolyte Nobrcer jumped on the fragile walkways left behind on the upper floor, crumbling some of the delicate stonework away. Furthermore, there was a collapse of the ceiling and my suspicion is this was likely the work of the acolyte as well, overhearing acolyte Corran's worry over the acolytes' "idea". Due to the instability of the temple itself, we thought it best to move the equipment and recovered artifacts outside back into the temple grounds. At which point we found Cerberus returning from the lower levels with a few more of the lore tablets. As far as I was made aware there was no sign of Lord Valgard himself, dead or otherwise.

Acolyte Valqine proceeded at this point to begin screaming down the comm channel that a horde was approaching our position. As such we had to evacuate the area quickly, as we began takeoff the Massassi horde began swarming below trying to fire at us, likely using some of the weaponry taken from the IRS camp.

In my assessment of the strike team, Apprentice Vaenra was useful enough, her knowledge of the Sith tongue, piloting and augmentation was taken into account on this mission. Acolytes Nobrcer and Corran largely followed on this mission, although I would admit Corran to be the more useful of the two. As for Apprentice Cerberus and Acolyte Valqine, they wasted valuable time without proper results in terms of data to show for it, while Cerberus did recover some of the lore tablets it question, time could have been spent far better than watching over a 'troublesome' acolyte.

Overall in terms of objectives we recovered:

- Notes relating to the work of Lord Valgard.
- A Cipher Machine capable of encoding or decoding script.
- 4 Stone Tablets (one damaged on discovery, one not in the Sith tongue).

This concludes my summary and evaluation of this operation for Apprentice Annabelle's research. A copy of this report will be forwarded to Lord Trakaton Kalkoran directly for his inspection.

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
