Leive would send the report with the reference title of the one below with her name at the side of it. Underneath the title it would say round one as a reference to herself maybe.
Report on the ranks of the sith and the authority they hold.
Rank one The Acolyte
Acolyte holds the authority of no one and hold no authority themselves. They are nothing and are treated as such. An acolyte learns from overseers the basics in what it means to be sith. The likes of the code, history, philosophy of the sith, basic saber combat and force techniques. Acolytes partake in trials to prove they have a degree of worth to their betters. The trials are a series of test which test skills to a degree. An Acolyte is restricted to what they can access and learn in terms of forms and in terms of force powers. Only allowed to learn the first form and essential core force powers with the likes of augmentation, force tapas, force sense... Powers that are basic but useful and can be developed.
Trials can be harsh and unkind to the weak as they are to design to do just that. Overall the acolyte is the beginning rank and the holders are not officially sith until passing trials and being chosen by a master. Acolytes are Nothing and are at the bottom of the empire just a sentient awaiting to be molded into sith once chosen. They are stripped of identity and given robes and a blade as indoctrinated into the ways of the sith at a basic level
As for authority, overseers have total control and supremacy over acolytes, as does any other rank above Acolyte. Including Imperials... In theory an Imperial is above an Acolyte because an Acolyte is not sith yet and are considered nothing until proven otherwise.
Rank two - Sith Neophyte
Sith neophyte is officially a sith rank however is a rank between apprentice and acolyte, though an acolyte can not reach it. As far as I have seen the Neophyte rank is given to those when they no longer have a master to serve . The people who have held the rank are to some degree apprentice level of strength and unless they serve a power base they hold no political sway as they have no master to represent, some exceptions to that of course.
Rank three - Apprentice
An Apprentice to some degree holds the authority of their master and serve them. In turn their master teaches them in more depth. Way more than what an overseer would teach an acolyte. It is here where the holder of this rank officially becomes a member of the sith. Apprentices serve their master who provides more individual tutoring over an overseers group teaching. Apprentices serve their master in many ways as I have observed, politically and in the field carrying out the will of their master and not proving their worth to them in return training is given. I have seen some apprentices with their own lightsaber however I am unsure whether they are crafted themselves or given to them from their master when deemed worthy of having one. Some use Vibroswords given to them.
Rank four - Household Sith
The rank of sith is a very important rank within the empire. Though they may not hold the political sway of a Lord or have the assets to support such a politically demanding rank. Through history sith have served as warriors, Inquisitors, assassins, alchemists, battle commanders and naval leaders. Evan fighter pilots to a degree. The rank is important for the empire to function. They may not have the political assets sufficient to influence politics of the sith but are able to change the side of battle. Giving diversity and to a degree leadership to the imperial military if they served as a warrior or commander. Giving that edge in supporting the empire conquering agenda. Giving that edge on the battlefield.
Rank five - Sith Lord
Main political powers in the empire. A Lord instigates in politics and represent the authority within the sith. Sitting below the rank of Darth, a Lord can have powerful political, army and navy assets at their disposal. As far as I have seen sith Lord is a rank that requires an eye for political opportunities and plays to further gain their agenda and the skills of diplomacy and negotiation but also battle prowess to spread their authority across the wider power base.
To have a chance of getting to sith Lord, political skill is required and a sith can not reach the rank without a political footing of their own. A power base and assets of their own. Though the title could be taken from another. It wouldn't be the sith if that was not on the table. History has many examples of sith usurping their masters. Even before our empires time. Darth Revan being forcibly removed from being the dark Lord of the sith of his own empire by Darth Malak, his own apprentice. It has happend even in our own empire. As shown with the dark council which has constantly changed for this very reason. The wanting of power and taking it. Darth baras is also a prime example of this when his apprentice killed him and took his title and place. Aswell as many other Dark council members such as Darth Thanaton.
Rank Six - Darth
A Darth title is the top of the chain, A rank that shows superiority and power in the empire. Origins of the word I can't seem to grasp however this rank holds masses of political sway and influence across the empire. Many Darths have served as military commanders and have changed the tides of battle. As do lords.
The rank of Darth is a top super power in the Empire's political system asserting their will across their powerbases. I have only seen a Darth once seeing as they have the assets to do such they do not need to even attend to menial tasks that are beneath them like giving attention to acolytes. The rank is a demonstration of power and prowess politically and as a sith.
