Faelice Winter Wrote:Mission Report: Starstruck - Primary Successes
Apprentice Ghûl, Apprentice Vayek, Ensign Rees, and myself arrived on Jerusa, intending to seek out someone that knew about, or knew of Aurek Team, and the Outreach Project Crew. As it turns out, one conversation located them both. We took ourselves to go and see Aurek Team first, who were more than willing to join our cause after it was described to them, provided we handled a problem for them. Some thugs were harassing a group of engineers working out of a garage some distance away - a group that Aurek Team worked with on occasion - due to a gambling debt wracked up by their chief, one Bryan Miles. Should they find themselves dealt with, we'd have Aurek Team.
Said group of engineers were the Outreach Project Crew, who also agreed to the same terms as Aurek Team - thugs handled, services acquired. Apprentice Vayek remained outside, keeping an eye on any who would be entering, and alerting us when they did. Ensign Rees set up turrets in the doorway to deter whatever fight may have been started after they were called to the Outreach Project Crew's garage for a conversation, and to end anything that did start before it became harmful in any way. Fortunately, or perhaps unfortunately, nobody needed shooting, as Raimus, who appeared to be the primary person Miles had become indebted to, agreed to speak with Apprentice Ghûl and I alone, rather than bring his posse of musclemen with him. He was given two options; the debt could be written off, and he could continue breathing... Or the debt could stand but he wouldn't for much longer. The fat rodian chose the former, and all debts were written off, the Outreach Project Crew agreeing to work for us, and the Aurek Team doing likewise shortly after. The engineers were told they could continue to work on fixing the starship they had until it was in a fit enough position to fly, and will find themselves in service to Sith Vipion once they arrive here.
Ensign Rees Wrote:"Small addendum my lord, just the one turret that they could see and lied about the presence of others. The Alpha Team was glad for the opportunity to work with familiar, superior equipment, and were advised to link up with the engineers until both could arrive safely together. Whether due to thugs, or the Exchange representative who the soldiers dismissed.
Psyche notes: the men stated they'd done their tours of duty, but they acknowledged my rank and addressed the others as 'my lords' rather instantly. Thrill-seekers and front-liners, they know the chain of command well and just relish a bit of freedom being a security force or unit rather than rank-and-file. Set them to a task, provide Imperial surplus, and they'll get it done within reason.
For the Empire, and for Horuset."
