Entry 50: Incident on Kaas
*Hirak was dressed in his full duranium armour as he stepped into the frame. It was clear that he was not in the presence of his own home as he held the holorecorder out in front in his right hand that allowed the entire scenery behind him to be seen. In the background, a large imperial like structure was present, it seemed to be some sort of outpost. However, the blue shading of it’s image made it appear distorted. The main focus was clearly on the masked Sith Lord who now began to speak, performing a monologue into the small device in his usual robotic gait.*
“I am stood outside one of the Horuset outposts on Dromund Kaas. More than a couple of hours ago, Lord Saud and myself were alerted to an attack that had taken place on a convoy en route to its usual supply depot deep in the jungles of the Sith Capital. This is mostly usual with regards to the creatures that thrive in the fury of the Dark Side that inhabits the world… however, there were reports of entire teams going dark alongside zero response from the outpost itself.
I naturally was the first to respond to the threat. These convoys are important to keeping the steady flow of the Imperial Capital’s resources heading out to our greater outposts on the Outer Rim as well as into the Capital Factories. So it was my intent to solve this by sending a more suited elite force into the jungles lead by Lord Saud. Now, I had initially not expected the heavily pregnant Sith Lord to even offer to want to join but she decided to go anyways. Her own apprentices joined her alongside Apprentice Occularis, Apprentice Vaenra and some of the lesser known acolytes seeking to prove themselves.
From the reports, it was easy to deduce that they had started quickly and eventually found the first wreckage and due to the loud noise their ‘elite team’ made in the search, it drew out the beast. This creature was a Jurgoran, one of Dromund Kaas’ most powerful untamed animals. As of yet I have not seen one face to face but I could tell from the description in the debrief. Combat then ensued, one that was supposedly difficult. The Jurgoran was dispatched but not without great strain put on Lord Saud who is said to have performed notable acrobatic techniques during the fight… one I would advise any whoever might hear of this tale not to do whilst burdened with a child. Unless of course you wish to terminate it in a most violent way.
Yet, the strain of this and further scouting techniques force Lord Saud into labour. Most of the stronger apprentices stayed behind with their master whilst other acolytes ventured out into the jungle to search for further clues. Eventually, all focus was consumed by Lord Saud whose child could be in great danger with the threat of another Jurgoran still present.
I eventually handled the situation personally by sending another team down to kill the rest of the Jurgoran nest that had settled itself in the perfect place to ambush our convoys. Their deaths will serve as a reminder to any and all who seek to get in the way of the Empire’s production efforts, be it docile pet to rampant creature, Sith or Jedi, they will simply be purged by my hand.”
*Hirak raised a hand to his mask’s chin and rubbed the metallic frame softly. A light scoff murmured from the vocal emitter.*
“Though I have come to learn in the short time after the event that Lord Saud’s child is called Kromus. Kromus Horuset. An intriguing name when I researched it's roots. My first impression is that he disrupted his mother’s attempts at successfully leading an important mission. Perhaps this child will continue to hinder all her efforts and I will see eye to eye with it. Or perhaps it won’t and I will have to cave it’s skull in when it becomes a nuisance. Either way, my master’s efforts will not be destabilised by anything or anyone.
End transmission.”
*The Sith Lord waves a hand across the screen of the holorecorder, causing the machine to whirr to a stop. The noise it had been making shit down slowly before the blue light disappeared back into the machine. The diary entry was over as Hirak disappeared from view.*
