Entry 34...
The recording starts, like so many others with the sounds of life - except - the angry roar of canonfire fills the microphone. Then another battery joined its voice to the thunder, followed by a third and a fourth until the sounds of a concentrated barrage was the only thing the device recorded for a good long while. Eventually the guns grew silent - and as they died another sound filled the speaker. Breathing, fast, excited.
Dear Diary -- we are at war. The lanidng was chaos, I.. did not pay much heed to many a thing. It was grab your gear, land. Don't get shot. Though, I suppose that is pretty much life as a sith really. Death, danger the ever present risk of maiming.
Her voice drowned out again as another round of fire left the canons. Spitting their anger across the field towards the enemy that may or may not be having a very bad night. As the fire died down - it was replaced by laughter. Almost manic laughter.
I feel like I felt back aboard the Black Dragon - the fire, the excitement, the anticipation. The rush of adrenaline before the doors open to the ship and the pirates rush into the captured vessel. Will we be shot at, who will fall.. what is the loot.
I missed that... Maybe once this is over... I'll try to relive those memories.
There are still members of the old crew to hunt down..
More silence, this time the big guns did not open up - and one brave bird dared to trill a song somewhere off in the distance. Boots could be heard, clattering against cobblestones. Distantly.
I hope, to get into a proper scrap soon -- if it kills me - fine. Least I died doing something. Sure gone beyond the wire a time or two. But always scouting. Always stealthy. My saber arm is getting twitchy.
.. Someone's coming..
Silence....
