"Tave iyutrekyr iv Zia"

#10
An old-style flimsi book wrapped in leather and secured with an old but serviceable genetic lock. Kaasian make, but the writing inside seems nonsensical; at least until a key is discovered on the inside cover.

It was so satisfying to intimidate an Imperial towards doing the bidding of the House. Again, Kyrvati and I seemed to work well together. It is a good thing Xerus or Droseth were not part of this task. They would have bungled it utterly.

...

What happened tonight at the ruins? It beggars belief. I know what I saw, yet it seems incredible...and such a loss. Darth Horuset, in all her glory, expecting her powerbase to siphon their energy to her in order to save the pureblood species through a ritual involving her ancestor from the time of Ajunta Pall. She was stunning; poised, cruel and beautiful in a way I don't think I could ever attain.

I was part of that ritual. The thrum of Dark Side energy in my bones, in my blood...I could do nothing less. It was all-encompassing, and Ri Énizasi Diwayas planted both Kyrvati and I beside them to ensure we were both bolstered and prevented from interfering should we overstep.

It was intense, and all-absorbing.. The chanting of High Sith rang through my marrow, ensnaring me within the ritual. I was carried along with the current. Throughout the entire thing that I could see, Darth Horuset held control. Such power siphoned from the other Darth, the Lords and Sith present, as well as the strange priests who had led the chanting.

And then...something went wrong. The spirit was torn from her rest and shoved into the holocron, but there was a backlash. Darth Horuset reacted to it...and then there was a blinding flash, a shockwave that smacked into every living thing there.

...and Darth Horuset was gone. Only ashes and the remains of her metals and jewellery remained where she had been standing.

Ri Énizasi Diwayas protected both Kyrvati and I. Through alchemy, I later understood. But still...the blast knocked me senseless for a long moment, and several others were badly injured. Ri Ari Wirio claimed their place as head of the powerbase and after a very, very long moment, the highest ups in rank deigned to submit - as the rest of us had already done. The guards loyal to the former Darth appeared and commanded us to leave. With the new Darth Horuset agreeing, everyone slowly left the ruins.

I got to experience, and contribute, towards Sorcery at some of its most potent swells.. as well as be witness to a most cautionary tale. Even the most powerful being in the powerbase was not exempt from the cost it exacts.

...

From a death of a Darth to the wedding of Ri Atuzirsi Wo within 24 hours.

Many turned up for the occasion, and naturally the acolytes were expected to work. It was definitely illuminating to see the groups and individuals whom linger together at such events. Pairings I had not expected.

Admittedly it was nice to know that my efforts with my hair had not been in vain.  Acolytes were not permitted to wear anything but acolyte robes, so I wanted to show I could make an effort to smarten up. Ri Doti Wo noticed immediately. Ri Satwas commented as they left.

The bride and groom were blinding in their regality; beautiful and cruel as any purebloods would wish to be. I wish them a successful marriage for as long as it lasts.

...

The powerbase will be departing for the war effort on Bon Sor tonight. Part of me wonders if I will live to return to Kaas again.

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
