[IC] Rikki Syndathik's Holo-Journal [Unavailable IC]

#6
The holo recording would flicker on, the black and red visage of a once wayward Zabrak picked out in contrasting shades as the image came to life. A face remained mostly unchanged. The slightest of wrinkling beginning in the creases of her eyes the one thing on her face to mark any passed time, and with the shimmer of the image obscuring them, this saw the alien looking at most points the same one seen last. Curls rolled down around her head, the same plated and trimmed armour on her body - a shade lighter than in the recording before, seeming to have slightly faded. Rikki sat upright at a desk, seemingly on the Horuset Estate, hands sat palms together tucked between her thighs. Her face, expressionless as she moved to speak.

“Darth Horuset…” she would blink softly, and shake her head, “Ahandra Yaria Horuset.. is dead. Trakaton Horuset is now Darth Horuset, fourth to hold the mantle.” she would lean back, her hands moving to be clasped on her lap. Then frown. “And for some confounding reason, in the process I bore witness to..” she’d shake her head, “sorcery.” the final word a mere whisper, her lips pursing as it escaped. Moments on, the composure resumed. “It has been years since I served this powerbase in proper. A deployment off a hyperlane has seen me outside of Sith life, inside the Empire barely. Clandestine, most of the time mundane, yet needed..” she would sigh, “And dragged on as all things seem to far longer than one would ever expect. Rolled into conflict. Eventually I realised there was no need for a Sith there any more. I return to serve. I return to..” she would trail off, a few telekinetic gestures and a lighter seeing a small flame begin to flicker in the palm of her hand, the light dancing upon her features gently, horns and curls casting upwards shadows.

“I return to friends, turned traitor, executed. Sith Zarchas.. instigated a rebellion. His Dar Manda attacked Sernpidal.. and he himself..” her lip would curl into a slight sneer, “Killed Tarimra. Killed Valeus.. and died to Sith rallied by then Lord Kalkoran in the process. He took the chance to further best that bastard from me..” she would exhale sharply, the flame dancing with the air. “And lost his life in the process. His assets are scattered. His powerbase, shredded and reconstituted. And..” she would kiss her teeth, “Zakirah, too. Marked traitor, mostly on war theft, and yet I wonder what story Lord Yene would tell if she is still around.” the alien would hum, “Ignia is also dead, and I have no doubt he will have gone down with Elias. And our Meistras has once more left the powerbase on other duties. Does he know his sister is ashes yet, I wonder, but then.. I expect he would have felt it.” she would shrug. “Mayaz, I cannot find and has not responded to me, Rekhen has risen and gone, Arvanis is lost, Luvane is dead. Leive..” she would huff in amusement. “A Lord. An alien Lord. As was Kelsa. Or..” she’d tilt her head in thought, “Is. He is not marked dead, and I am weighing reaching out, especially now. But,” she’d smirk, “I feel the last thing the powerbase currently needs is another challenger, and I cannot rule out that possibility.”

“I wonder if Sanguis knows. If Temekel knows.” the alien shook her head. “They will in time.” For the first time then, she would smile. “Wradaii is at least still here, and a Lord too, as he should be. I.. had an affect on him for sure upon reappearing. And Lord Sarias. And..” she’d frown in a slightly bemused way, the smile persisting. “Darth Kalkoran addressed me by my first name alone which..” she’d chuckle softly, shaking her head, “Not normal, at all. I am sure things will eventually settle down.. at least to their usual levels of unsettled, but, so far, no dice. Tonight, there is a wedding. Tomorrow, we are off to war.” she would inhale, “And I need to prepare.”

The zabrak would look at the holorecorder in earnest, then, leaning in slightly, the dancing flame setting tribal tattoos glistening on her skin, “I have not spent years serving this Empire, my training virtually on hold, to come back just to watch this powerbase I hold so dear fall apart. My Master may be gone, but I am no longer. Horuset will succeed..” she would pause, head tilting slightly once more, gaze drifting into the flame as, just for a moment the flame flickered out in all directions, dancing and rippling in a barely controlled manner, the image presented eerily reminiscent to the Horuset Sun, “...even though she did not.” and the sun would vanish in an instant, the holorecording taking a moment to readjust from the light change as the wisps of smoke left behind cleared, the Neophyte once more sat back in the chair as it did so.

“This is Neophyte Syndathik. Never waver, never relent.”

Her arm would reach forward, and the recording would end.

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
