Entry 31...

The hum of engines were the first the to hit the devices microphones, a steady background sound without banging or ticking or clicking. The signs of a well kept machine. Above the hum - breathing, not one set but two distinctly separate beings. Though the deeper more relaxed breathing sounds soon fade away as if distance was being created. The swoosh of a door -- padding footsteps, the platter of bare feet on hard deck if you were keen to analyze such sounds. A faltering breath, pained groan and the creak and protest of a leather seat as weight caressed by fabric was applied. A deep, rasping sigh follows.

It has been --

Pause, more breathing - and drumming. Fingers on a hard surface. The soft sound of a chair being swung back and forth and spun at the same time.

-- A whirlwind of a week. Things have developed - things I did not see coming. Couldn't have seen coming. In my wildest imaginings did not expect in the slightest. Where to begin? Hmh, out of safety - I'd better not go into all of it.

The red oaf and his master - well - lesson learned I suppose. Do not greet a red oaf over an open comm unless you want to be kissed by his knuckles.

A dry laugh, cold without mirth.

Though it could be a cultural thing. Perhaps that is how their kind flirt.. if so - well - I suppose the race are built like blocks for a reason.

On the other hand, the new acolyte cadre seems to be consisting mostly of women. And very few purebloods. I wonder if our Darth is rolling in her sarcophagus - or whatever it is she sleeps in. Knowing that little tidbit. Some of them seem - competent. Or at least capable of accepting instruction.  We'll see what becomes of them. Though I must admit I found myself quite enjoying working on their shii cho. Anyone ever tells them that - or tells an overseer I will deny it.

More swinging sounds, a soft skin on deck sound - then another. The hiss of a door opening and the abrupt ending of motion sound followed at the same time. A heavier stride approched - the chair gave a groan of protest as if it was suddenly tilted backwards. There were words - but the microphone must've been covered. The pause lasted for a minute or two - before the sound quality increased and the heavy strides receeded. No words were spoke before the door had hissed twice.

He knows about you, dear journal...

Alas. Today was interesting. We followed a lead to a warehouse - not exactly sure what we were after but. We did leave with a box - bruises and more than a few new cuts and scrapes. Did not think we'd run into jedi.

That apprentice put up a good fight. Nearly had me a good couple of times. I'd  have  had her if not for that blasted table. Impressive though - to be cut open like a fish, and still have the presence of mind to not only hurl me into a table. But use the table to batter me with it. Put a stop to that though - and then her master put a stop to us.

A pause, during which some sounds could be heard in some other part of the space that was being occupied. Clattering sounds, like someone was digging around in a cupboard on the hunt for something.

GO BACK TO BED!

I need to cut this short it seems - we retreated in the end. Having retrieved a box of somekind.. I'm sure there'll be a debrief once we're back at the estates. For now though... signing off.

The speaker grew silent - a moment later there was a harsh clicking sound and the recording - died.

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
