Chapter One: Daily Practice

Asarau was finding it a hard time to comprehend speech when it lacked depth, which this certainly did, “Home,” she said almost throwing up the word in sheer disgust. This was met by a stern yet supportive hand cast upon her shoulder. Turning her head ever so slightly she met the warm light of her sister’s eyes, they were a burning red, their light emanating from a torrent of blue.

It spoken in Cheunh played like music to ever desperate ears, “Sister…” this drew but a small bob of her head, “I understand it, but it is useful.”
Asarau managed to stifle the seemingly inevitable groan behind her icy complexion, her lips thinned yet chose to simply push on through the chore of the language, “Under-stand-able.”

“Almost there. Again without the redundant spacing, this time,” she sang, this was only offered the unceremonious response of a crude sounding word seemingly forced from her mouth, ugly within it.

“Understandable.”

Satisfied with such a response the warmth of a subtly laid palm was softly laid upon the Young Girls shoulder, the gesture a fitting reward for her effort.

The bed shifted under her as a presence was lifted, revealing her sister cast in the rooms bright light eloquent as always, standing far taller than anything she could reach. There was a hiss behind her, the door had opened and as a soft voice sung through the otherwise mostly shrouded room, her brother; “Greetings. Sister Ussa’Var’Undaro, Sister Ussa’Sara’Undaro,” he said offering them a pearl white smile.

With that the older woman gave him a small look down her nose, “Phft. Brother, when did you return?” she said the sheer power of her language conveying a cold formality “Ah, Sister, I arrived…An hour ago,” he said offering her but a simple statement in response. Only for the woman to nod at her, “Late as always. Now if you’ll excuse me, I presume your Brother is on your schedule. I must talk with one of our Cousins before dinner.”

“Yes, Sister...”

With the door hissing close, she was finally free from the confines of her Sisters, helpful yet constricting grasp upon a subject that would quite commonly be associated with the lowest form. Instead, she was offering a hug to a solid right arm dressed in a grown up black suit, neatly straightened across his body, only crumpled ever so slightly by his far younger Sisters requirement to greet him on his way home.

As her hands grasped him, without offering much freedom he seemingly still managed to wiggle free. Presenting her hand upon her shoulder, pushing away the Girl, prying her wanting grip from his lower half. Brushing his military clothing with his other, he allowed his burning gaze to fall upon her, “Sister. It is good to see you, but must you crush my uniform,” dusting over the silver gray stripe running down his forefront.

“No, Brother…”

“Good, now since I’m back and I have your schedule, if you want… I can teach you something,”
The Chiss both shared a small knowing look, she smiled as he nodded. She stepped forward upon one foot, presenting both hands towards her forefront with two fists offered to her brother.

The Man turned his back towards the far smaller Girl, taking to his knees he presented them to the floor, just as his back was offered to the younger Girl,

“Right. We’ll begin with a simple exercise, wrap your arms around my neck, I’ll guide them,” he tapped one hand upon his neck, his other pulled at the fist of the little Girl with a short glance to his read.

The Girl winced as her hand was drawn by steady guidance before his throat and slightly past it. Pulling it close to the flesh, her arms barely covering much of it, “Now,” using his other hand he guided both hands to cross over, before the other one concluded upon the back of his ocean blue hair.

“Draw backwards upon it. Tight, around the neck.”

The Girl offered him a small nod "I will...", as her muscles grew taut despite gritted teeth she proceeded and even so her Brother didn’t seem to care for her tiny arms, even managing to maintain a rather calm comment, “Look, don't worry, I'll be perfectly alright, it helps you after all. Draw it closer give me less room to breath.”

Ussa'Sara'Undaro offered him a small nod, "Right, I understand," she then proceeded to lean backwards upon her now taut muscles seeking to close the gap with between her Brother and herself, yet he simply kept talking her muscles simply not capable, "I don't quite get it..."

"Right. It's simple, just close the gap between your arm and my neck, tense and pull back and upwards..."

To this she reluctantly agreed, putting strain upon his neck with her arm finding it's natural path around her own Brothers neck, drawing back upon the heel of her feet. The flesh of his throat worming under her arm, leaving a gap for his movement as her arm seemingly resisted the opportunity, only to eventually break through her weak muscles forcing her into collision with the floor. The flesh of his throat worming under her arm, leaving a gap for his movement as her arm seemingly resisted the opportunity, only to eventually break through her weak muscles forcing her into collision with the floor,

"Right. We’ll continue once you finish with what’s on your schedule young lady,” he tapped his finger firmly upon her head. Rising above her, his shadow drawn over her as he offered a final smile, at last exiting the room with the door hissing. The clatter of his footsteps taking him away.

Chapter Two: Raining Blues

Sara had got quite lucky, well that wasn’t exactly true. In face her timing had been deliberate but even then she had missed all the others, there was no doubt she needed time alone. The room was cast in the same harsh steel as everything else aboard the vessel, the door to what was mostly a half cubicle and would conceal most of her body.

The Chiss offered her burning gaze to the metal wall towards her forefront, with a press of button water suddenly exploded from the shower head. A sudden torrent of water gushed straight into her hair, as her gaze swung upwards the raining torrent. It while not particularly warm nor particularly cold offered a predictably melody upon her back. Grasping the soap she began to run it up her back, her other hand drew over the wall her fingers scrapping the metal as it drew into a fist.

She had chosen said particular time of day to provide herself an opportunity, the liquid draw down her forearm, almost soothingly, it regardless of this effort she forced her hand into a fist, her knuckles drawing across the same surface. She let out a single breath. Asking one question within the confines of her own mind, “I couldn’t protect them,”

“Why?”

The Chiss took a deep breath in as her mind flickered through the experience once more.

Ussa’Sara’Undaro was situated within her families shower, tightly constrained in the corner her despite the space that burst open before her. It was pure white the only thing that dirtied the room was her blue form, with brazen red eyes and the dirt that rolled of her via the path of water. She was different and she knew it, at this point there was no denying it. The stories that had been afforded her had painted those tales of Monsters, those with a disease who shifted things with but a mere thought and a gesture.

That was a foreign power. It constricted around her chest, her breaths became shorter and shorter. Each one was struggling to escape, her hands drew taut. She had it; her body upon discovery had almost attempted to reject it. She threw up in the corner, forced into panic before quickly excusing herself from the family. It was impossible, she couldn’t be. Yet she was. She really was.

She was forced to tremble, it lay upon her along with the water pattering her back.

“She really was…”

Sara stood there her fingers curling into a fist pressed against the wall, in fact the forces that had tricked her. The sheer forced that had overwhelmed her while dangerous, would ring through her head upon the days to come. There was a reason her people had been terrified of it’s usage, this was the reason all these years ago she had trembled in another shower.

“Dam it...”

She struck the wall once, a fire raging against the inconsistent water. It did little in response, she struck again and again. As the burning river sung through every vein, muscle and powered through her arm.

“I don’t know… I don’t know why…”

At last she drew her fist back once more, targeting the exposed piping that led up the water that poured in torrents down her, she gasped her mouth agape for a but a moment as she struck again. The same power she feared flowed through her hand striking the pipe with incredible might, the sheer strength of the force at her whim. It broke, the water that had once befallen her stopped.

Instead it rushed towards her from the break in pipe seeking to strike her in the face, but with a single hand she snatched forth. Turning the water system off, and halting the flow as she grasped through.

“I guess. I’ll have to find out,” she said with a sigh as she overlooked her work making her way swiftly under the exposed gap to avoid the presumed eventual repercussions of her damage by entering another shower. She offered the now mangled and broken imprint of her will, a last cold gaze, seeking it’s path over her ugly power.

“One day. It’ll be all over, I suppose.”

Ongoing Crisis
War in the Northern Territories

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

"The Northern Territories shift under the weight of changing times. With the passage of the ICOT, internal strife amongst Imperial Forces in the North has lessened - though never abated. Although the momentum of the Republic has not yet been met entirely, fortification efforts and victorious naval campaigns have evened the footing at least slightly. Eyes align on systems such as Vykos, Nam'ta and Orsus to see how this proceeds.."

((OOC: The Balance of Power system has begun! Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state at the start of the next war arc will determine how strong the Republic will be in the area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
