Operation: C.H.A.P - Mutiny Tankers

#6

Participants:

Sith Zveris
Apprentice Agran
Apprentic Zarnir Veraahn
Apprentice Thangal

Overview:

Making landfall on Equanus saw a stone's throw away from a freshly ransacked village. There were obvious signs of it being done by the mutineers as the villagers upon our questioning have revealed their distaste for the Empire abandoning it. Then there was the fact that upon the hill to the north of the village, were stationed two light tanks with a crew celebrating their raid. Wasting little to no time in engaging the mutinous tankers. The initial idea was to catch them by surprise, but their sniper support caught us before we managed to catch them.

There was a sparse window of a surprise as Thanagal and Zarnir were caught immediately in their sights, but at my order Apprentice Agran joined us to the fray. The tanks had been damaged at the barrels to render them useless as the rest of the crew has been dealt with rather swiftly. Though, as expected of traitors, their weak will sought them drop into surrender seeing their Captain hurled down the hill and some of their crew eviscerated.

But at this point there was a rather stellar revelation - the Captain that was meant to be captured before being charged with treason - was actually killed by his subordinate. One who took up his uniform and weaponry as well as the charge of the crew. That much was revealed via mental probing, before I saw the man to be promptly executed - fate that will await the rest of the mutineers. The rest of which will attest that they have been "dragged" into this by their new Captain, but that hardly makes their case any better.

Other than that, Apprentice Thanagal made sure there were no stragglers were left behind, Apprentice Zarnir noted everything down of what the tankers have looted, as Apprentice Agran oversaw the redistribution process. Meanwhile I took it upon myself to have every villager accounted for, have them relatively reviewed with their skillset in order to have them relocated from the ruined village.

The mission can be considered as a success.

That is all.

- Signed,
Sith Zveris.

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
