[Sith Stûza]

"I've outlasted them."

His hand trembled against his side.

"Is this how the Dark Lords of the past felt, outlasting their rivals?"

No.

"I once thought it cunning to reach this far without expression, without damage... Preparation. For what?"

"I am dying."

He knew this. He knew what was due.

"By the end, it won't be a title they will remember."

"I've thought of my role in the Sith Order. Order. Structure. Preparation. To create something that will outlast."

His augmented lungs rattled, exhaled to the thought of a future. Without him.

"Tradition, for one not born into it, must be seized through conquest."

"I outlasted my rivals, I did not conquer them."

"I will train to remove all thoughts of titles. Only to witness power, I cannot allow defeat before ever beginning."

His hand steadied at the thought of merely having to face a Sith. For that, he was more than prepared.

Eager.
