Attendees:
My original plan was to mask myself as an Imperial Medic and give the rebels a nasty surprise. This did not happen in any capacity.
Almost immediately after flying into the storm, our communications failed due to a high level of interference. Moments after we were shot out of the sky by some type of beam of energy. If this was the storm, it surely had been augmented by the force, but I personally believe it was something else. We did not have time to determine this cause. I was able to telekinetically guide us to a tree rather than a full crash onto the ground. It was still a brutal impact, killing one of the pilots and sending Lieutenant Rennab flying. Rennab and the second pilot were injured severely.
After the impact, Sergeant Athun broke the door open, Sergeant Miriadas collected the pilot and helped us rappel down, and Sergeant Mays stayed atop to secure the line down. I helped telekinetically lower everybody, including the injured. Recovering my strength took some time, but when I did sense out I determined an extremely powerful dark-sided force presence atop near our shuttle and ordered the group to gather at the same time that Sergeant Mays engaged it with his jetpack. He shot at it multiple times and made his way down with the rest of us, but did end up struck by the creature, nearly being crushed by a tree. Sergeant Miriadas successfully stabilized him.
Visibly all that we could tell was that it was a clawed dark blur that moved quickly until we threw several flares down. The creature possessed multiple legs and arms, and pulled its mouth open to attempt to shoot what I could only imagine to be webs- I threw rocks to block this happening the two times it happened. It also attempted to scatter us or cause us to flee multiple times using a mass mental attack, and it was somewhat blaster resistant save for its multiple eyes, which Specialists Codri and Gast utilized to great effect, with more flares thrown from Sergeant Miriadas that made it easier to spot. When it was visible, it was some kind of arachnid-humanoid hybrid. Strength-wise, I would rate it as similar to myself. It also possessed rudimentary mimic capabilities.
Sergeant Athun indicated that he could shoot the ruined shuttle down. I webbed it to the ground using sorcery and he sniped several branches, causing the shuttle to crash upon it. I collected a few samples but otherwise the site has been left undisturbed. With the strength of the unnatural storm, the risk of new creatures, and rebel activity in the area, we chose to evacuate until we could get a signal.
Strongly advise avoiding this area until we investigate further. My best guess is that the cave system contained these creatures and rebels released them, potentially intentionally. Worth investigating further- excursions into the cave should come with the expected risk of more of these creatures.
I intend to follow up on this further.

Leviathan squad performed above and beyond in the face of truly fatal odds, and I suggest the following:
Sergeant Athun
Sergeant Dew
Specialist Gast-
Specialist Codri
Sergeant Miriadas
Lieutenant Rennab:
Medal of Sacrificial Defense for all of them. I lean towards either medal II or medal III. They faced truly fatal odds and none of them displayed cowardice.
Medal of Unbreakable Will for all attending, as they did not flee during the mental attack.
- Lieutenant Crix Rennab- Grenadier
- “Sergeant Gorbargh” (Lord Vipion) - “Combat Medic”

Leviathan squad performed above and beyond in the face of truly fatal odds, and I suggest the following:
Sergeant Athun
- Mark of the crusher (for quite literally crushing a very dangerous foe using a shuttle).
- Special Service Medal II for sniping the shuttle down at a key moment, having lined the moment up perfectly.
Sergeant Dew
- Special Service Medal II for engaging against fatal odds while using his jetpack.
- The purple Heart II for being critically injured, near fatally; due to his bravery, we lived to fight another day.
Specialist Gast-
- Special Service Medal II for firing and hitting the enemy directly in the face during key moments, showing bravery and staying by my side even in the midst of such danger.
Specialist Codri
- Special Service Medal for II firing accurately at the enemy and providing cover fire where it may have otherwise led to our deaths, an unrelenting force against a greater power.
Sergeant Miriadas
- Special Service Medal II for utilizing her engineering skills to assist in getting us down from the shuttle, and then using her flares to help us see the creature.
- The Savior’s medal for using stims at a key moment to keep Sgt Dew alive.
Lieutenant Rennab:
- The Purple Heart.
