Operation: Brilliance Chained - Ethics
Mission Participants:
Apprentice Veilak
Apprentice Nivalis
Acolyte Vessa Bufon
Mission Summary:
Apprentice Nivalis being the one most experience in the matter of piloting - provided us with an "undercover" shuttle - and took us to the target world of Lianna. We touched down onto the planet's surface and initially had no issues whatsoever. The hour was growing late and so the local shops were closing down, people who ended their daily shifts were heading home and as such we have easily made our way to the address that's been given to us.
Though as easy as it was to simply stroll in we had to be wary of the holo-cameras that waited at every turn, that combined with the fact that the entrance to the elevator that was supposed to take us to the 30th floor has been locked behind a keycard access. With no guards in sight, we made our way to the back of the building where we've been met with a fire-exit which, once again, was locked. Though it was a regular lock and what little use of force couldn't fix.
Once we jammed our way through we loitered around the floor, on the vigil for another means of surveillance, alternative paths of escape or perhaps even security - yet we've been met with pretty much nothing. We walked up to the room Mrs. Pennel was locked in and made our way through - simply by pretending to be police members. She opened up the door and we promptly barged. We made our point and the woman has been easily persuaded under a condition of having better work environment. We promised just that and she was quite eager to make her leave, going as far to cut off her tracker by herself.
We had a tight window to make our way down to the shuttle as the tracker went off after two minutes of our leave, just when we passed by a police patrol. That's where trouble actually started as they rushed us down - though it has to be noted that for all intents and purposes we did -nothing- to gain their suspicions - and with that we bolted towards the shuttle.
Even as the stun rounds begun to fly and their shouts pierced the silence of the night, we made our escape quite easily and left the Republic space - with the Engineer in one piece, unharmed and willing to cooperate.
