The hologram flickers to live, revealing the uniformed figure of a short woman with a devious, cunning look in her pale grey eyes. She clears her throat and introduces herself as ‘Director Faux’ of the H.I.D. Not wasting anymore time on niceties or introductions, the agent unlocks her datapad and begins her briefing:

"My fellow soldiers. In liaison with an ally of the Horuset Powerbase through Lord Kalkoran, the Powebase has become aware of a costly civil war that has erupted across part of the planet of Botajef. While the civil war is entirely local in origin and neither side is trying to shrug off Imperial occupation, we have been called in through the Bureau of Research to maintain a border crossing from one faction's territory to the next. Through political machinations, this will result in the Bureau passing streamlined reactor technology to the Horuset Powerbase for Sernpidal.

The goal of the border crossing is to allow Imperial sanctioned transit to ensure Imperial business is not stifled on the planet while not permitting non-imperial combatants to cross to assault the other's territory through the border crossing and likewise to not permit any civilian traffic. All sanctioned transit will have Imperial identification and a dated manifest of all carried goods, anyone unable to comply is to be turned away. Deadly force is only permitted if fired on."

*With that the hologram would flicker and then fade from view. Leaving the viewer able to access the rest of the information provided.*

Location: Botajef - A key world along the Hydian Way, Botajef is one of the most important systems outside of the Empire's core territory as it controls the intersection between the Northern Territories and the hyperlanes that lead to the Stygian Caldera as well as sitting directly on the Hydian Way, able to stifle traffic from the Corporate Sector to the coreworlds.

((OOCly: With this one, where the border crossing is, is entirely up to the GM! I'd recommend somewhere like Balmorra or Corellia, but really any planet can work depending on where you want to setup a checkpoint OOCly)

The Civil War: The Civil War is being fought on Botajef between the Royalists and the Loyalists, both factions having named themselves. The previous monarch of Botajef died of natural causes and a succession crisis started with the Loyalists wishing the monarch's key advisor to takeover who will follow the policies that have seen Botajef spring to importance while the Royalists wish for the monarch's firstborn daughter to ascend to the throne, a woman intending on changing the status quo of the stifled on the planet. Both sides have petitioned the Empire for support and have pledged their loyalty, leaving the Empire to allow the planet to solve it's own internal affairs while the main military forces focuses elsewhere.

Objectives: In this task there will be one primary objective.

Primary Objective I: Man the Border Crossing, adhere to the Imperial guidelines on what is permitted to cross.

Time Frame: The team will have two months to arrive at the Border Crossing and conduct the Imperial sanctioned policies.
