Operation: Space Hulk

#7
Operation Report: Space Hulk

Mission objectives:
Primary Objective I: Retrieve several Arthropods using the container provided. - Successful
Secondary Objective I: Find any force artifacts there and return them to Sith Hazlem.

Mission Participants:
Sith Tiwura
Apprentice Winter
Apprentice Kaleehi
Apprentice Racta

Status: Successful

Mission Progression:

Sith Tiwura, Apprentice Kaleehi and I set out to explore one of the larger, more intact vessels in the ship graveyard, whilst Apprentice Racta set out to examine a smaller. There was no resistance upon entry, and mites were quickly sourced and put into containment. A Sith Artifact had made its presence known, though not explicitly, through a hallucinatory interaction of Apprentice Kaleehi’s, suggesting that SIth Tiwura was beside him in conversation. This was not the case, being several feet further back and addressing the acquisition of a number of the mites. Apprentice Winter opted to examine the crew quarters, finding nothing of physical value, but another effect of the artifact had made itself known - the ability to actively mirror that which was in front of it. This effect was made known again shortly afterwards as a group of illusory ancient Empire soldiers started firing upon Apprentice Kaleehi and I. They were dispatched with relative ease, and the two of us progressed forwards in search of the artifact, with Sith Tiwura acquiring more mites in the meantime. Through a set of blast doors, there was a lit terminal, and a generator supplying power to the section. Upon pressing the button, blast doors at either side of the corridor sealed, and a supply of oxygen came about as a third door opened into another chamber. Sat at the desk was a masked figure, steeped in incredible amounts of Dark Sided energy, and two Massassi. The Massassi were aggressive towards the pair of us, though their actions stopped as attention started being turned towards the masked figure. Removing the mask revealed a dead host, and caused the attention of both apprentices to be focused on the aforementioned. A struggled back and forth ensued as each vied for control of the mask, though it would eventually break under repeated stresses. The resulting effect caused an intense backlash through the Force. I am uncertain of any further events between this, and returning to the estate.

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
