Difference between a Tactician and a Strategist. My answer to Lord Kalkoran was simple, barebones and lacking. I have since formulated and understood the terms much better. Strategists oversee the grander plans, for example such as holding a point of interest during a war campaign or tying down an enemy force. Tacticians meanwhile differ in that they plan much more minute details. While the Strategist decrees a point must be held, the Tactician will decree a course of action on -how- to hold said point, for example. Clear communication is their strongest suit, both in commanding their tools of the trade and relaying this info up the chain to the Strategist. Their difference lies in macro versus micro managing. On Small Scale Manoeuvres. What does it mean? When a leader divvies up his available Sith and troops into smaller groups to achieve a clearer method of communication. The leader is the brain, with these smaller groups acting as the limbs. These groups are highly adaptable depending on the tasks at hand. Each of these groups has a head appointed by the overall leader. This ensures the leader can simply call his orders on the fly, concise and clear, this is absolutely imperative. The adaptability of these groups ensures a high degree of specialisation for the task at hand. And example would be sending one or more Sith with greater knowledge of ancient tombs to tasks within said tomb instead of only sending Acolytes. Overall, it will give the task the biggest rate of success. As always though, control by a strong Leader is paramount, while ensuring these groups are able to support one another if called out should it be required. How to deal with mutiny should it occur? A traitor is to be dealt with swiftly and adeptly. Do not waste time time or effort on a traitor while a task is to be performed. Strike and move on. Do not dwell. Specific Manoeuvres Artikarza: Fast war. Involves charging through and enemy line in melee combat as fast as possible with the incentive of overwhelming the enemy and pushing straight through their front line to drill straight into any reserve troops they might have. It is an agile, deliberate and swift thrust. A group ordered to Artikarza is likely going to be supported by another to deal with the remnant of the front lines that were breached. The rewards for such a manoeuvre is potentially reaching a backline commander or breaking the foes morale. Tutsemia: Fortress. A highly defensive manoeuvre in which the performing group holds their position and lures enemy provocation towards strictly themselves, acting as a beacon, a defensive line or a screen to hide another group's actions while they perform a task or manoeuvre towards the objective. Akdura: Anvil. A short-term manoeuvre in which you keep threatening and most often stronger foes locked in combat while other groups conduct other manoeuvres to achieve overall success. Kitsana: Hammer. A flanking manoeuvre through opening up a new attack vector, it performs its best when combined with another manoeuvre that pins a foe in place.
