Bombed Last Night

#4
My Lord,

As requested the mission report which included to scout and assess the damage, and search for survivors in Rennar. This report will contain a detailed and accurate version of events from my perspective.

Upon arrival in Rennar we sensed various Lightsided lifeforms, after further inspection we discovered that this was a place where refugees come together to gather scraps and for a clean supply of water, as many are suffering from radiation sickness because of the contaminated water. We blended in amongst the refugees and learned that the Republic is aiding them with food and water, and that there are also plans of the Republic to aid the resistance.

Conversing went well, further details regarding this have already been mentioned, until suddenly a blaster went off. It turned out that a woman had blown herself up, causing her to slowly bleed out unless she got the proper care. One that Syllel or myself could not give in the field. Syllel found the injured woman first and another refugee mentioned that the Republic would help them and had the means to. However, they had no way of transporting her, and Syllel insisted on returning the woman to the Republic frontline, to get their exact location and plant a bug with a tracking device that she had with her to access and jam the comms of the Republic. Which in itself was not a bad plan, however her execution was reckless and dangerous.

After planting the tracker onto the woman, since there was no way of transporting the wounded refugee, Syllel tried to contact the Republic to request a MEDEVAC and have her picked up. Syllel was warned by multiple refugees that she would be heard by us. And she was. In doing so Syllel caused our own artillery to be activated and aimed at ourselves. We were hit with exactly 14 strikes. Apprentive Rhave had left right before this, realising the actions Syllel was taking and the consequences they would have. As I was still trying to convince her to stick to the mission, I was still there when the artillery hit as I had just began on my way back realising that she was too stubborn.

Fortunately, the only people that got hit were some refugees. After this I left Syllel on her own since she still refused to come with me. She decided to deliver the woman to the Republic herself. Upon my return to Varath, I immediately clarified what had happened. And it became clear that the fact that Syllel wandered off to the enemy posed another threat, the captivity and extraction of vital information that she might carry. Now nothing of what I’m a about to mention would have been the call of those that were there, but rescueing her and risking the lifes of more Sith would have been unwise. So the other option that was discussed was to use our artillery again and ensure that Syllel would die at our hand, not at the hand of the Republic to ensure that any information she might carry remained safe.

Syllels current location and status were unknown for a while until she somehow returned back after a while. I am unsure what exactly happened when she was on her own, and in her report she fails to mention what has occurred. But not only is her safe return suspicious, but it also makes me question if she even made it to the Republic frontlines. It is to my knowledge that the nomansland in the desert is impossible to cross without being detected. So it is curious that she allegedly managed to cross it without getting a single scratch. So unless she has a good explanation for that, she either never made it and lied, or the Republic let her pass. But that is speculation of course.

To conclude, Syllel’s own recklessness and impulsiveness nearly caused my and her own death. She risked information to be leaked, potentially endangering the entire war effort. She ignored the chain of command by wandering off on her own deep into enemy territory without permission. She has filed a report of her own justifying her actions, and she has mentioned that the risks were worth it since she ‘succeeded’. Yet it is still unclear what she exactly has achieved and what the results of that were, if any. But I am sure that the right actions will be taken in regards of what has occurred.

Force Serve,
Evelyn Ghûl

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
