My lord,
Here is the follow up to my initial report.
Summarized for efficiency:
-The civilians in Rennar are being directly supported by the republic in the manner of supplies.
-The republic encourages the refugees to take what they need from the bodies and to train to fight the empire.
-The refugees have since started training themselves and their families for combat against the sith.
-These refugees seem to be derived from all over affected territories and while officially they are working together there is little cohesion, trust, or fellowship. They appear factional and divided.
-Pirates have been raiding supplies successfully and stealing vital things like safe food and valuables. I will need to do further investigation to determine if other pirate bands beyond the Passik Kru are active and if so, how to reach them.
-The republic, while not actively turning away refugees, is not actively housing them. This means they must be camped out somewhere, likely nearby as they all seemingly fled in the same north, north-easterly direction.
-The refugees that were present at Rennar are mostly scattered and facing high casualties after the directed bombardment.
The refugees, as previously stated, are highly spiteful towards the empire post displacement and the nuclear mining that ITEC conducted seems to have had little effect other than incensing them to further violence. Judging from the fact that they are not all dying of radiation poisoning they are receiving treatment and/or supplies of medicine, likely from the republic. I would have wished to blend further with the fleeing refugees to see where they retreated back to but unfortunately it was between that and ensuring the listening device was planted successfully. It was, however I will need to place a signal booster to reach it as the republic has moved the bugged woman deeper into the territory. Speculatively, this could mean that their medical facilities near the front line are swamped or inadequately supplied to deal with her wounds, which could be a vital clue as to their current supplies. I should hopefully have more information in the coming time.
On an additional side note, the refugees are scavenging our equipment, seemingly en mass, but they have a degree of ineptitude when working with imperial technology. Likely due to unfamiliarity. We can capitalize on this by trapping supplies and waiting for the inevitable scavenging to inflict casualties. This would serve a dual purpose of discouraging further raiding of supplies and promoting a new degree of caution to pilfer imperial supplies, thus denying at least some of our foes the ability to re-utilize our weapons. After all, the newer mark of blaster is unique to Horuset at the moment and we should take steps to try and minimize the republic's chances to reverse engineer the technology.
If possible I would like to further investigate the refugee population and see if we can discover where their networks are located along with their hideouts, of course that will be left up to your own discretion along with that of the conservancy. I would also like to investigate more into the situation with pirates and see how many are involved and in what way. These forces appear to be highly effective at sowing terror and despair and if they are not already aligned with the house it will be good to look in on including such assets.
