Entry 5: No smoke without fire.
The cyan blue recording flickers into life, a camera shaking slightly before a young Pureblooded Acolyte steps around and sits in front of the camera, running a hand through his hair as he looks off toward the right of the camera. His lips pulled straight, left side of his face tensing. A look of disdain and annoyance upon his features.
"I realise now my mistake... this was all a game to Lord Tokiai, he never intended to claim any of us as Apprentice despite gifting me a knife as a token of his favour."
Rolling his eyes the young Pureblood sets his gaze back onto the camera then, pulling a long stiletto knife from his robes and using the tip of it to pick at the underneath of his talons.
"I give you this as a sign of my favour, you will return it to me on the day you become my Apprentice... or my Apprentice will claim it from you. A clever lie, I'll admit that he fooled me. Made me think I was his favourite, it is clear to me now though. There's a reason his Apprentice never became Sith despite being feared by all other Apprentices, the same reason why he never claimed Apprentices. Stagnation of the Powerbase favoured him, it allowed him to remain on his pedestal."
With that, the young Pureblood chuckles and throws the dagger off to the side; a series of metallic clangs being heard as it ricocheted across the floor.
"Not that he'll remain on his pedestal for long, Lord Kalkoran plots as always. But more importantly, Lord Saud has returned. I had never seen her before, her power eclipses the others. I chose Lord Tokiai because I thought he was the strongest. I was wrong."
Clicking his tongue he looks away and falls silent for a moment, running his tongue against the sharp canine fangs in a pensive manner. Another toothy smirk comes across his features as he speaks.
"Nobody is saying it, but we all know that the Horuset sun is setting. And I intend to be there for when the new sun rises; I intend to be Lord Saud's apprentice before the day she becomes Darth Horuset... and I doubt I have long."
Fixing his gaze back onto the eyes of the viewer his expression falls deadpan, more serious. His tone remaining warm and welcoming as he speaks.
"I see my path now, Tokiai was never the correct choice... after all we all know that dzis Tokiai an imohtirsi, Saud nayir tadti' iroi." (for smoke to exist, fire must come first.)
With that, the young Pureblood reaches forwards and as his hand obscured the lens the recording finishes.
