[IC] Rendvir's Holo Diary

#1
Acolyte:

Entry 1: Arrival.

A holo-projection sparks into life, shortly after a handsome Pureblood adorned with acolyte robes with slicked back hair steps into the frame. His full height cannot be determined, as he only appears from the shoulders up, but his piercing glare looks into the eyes of the viewer, after a moment of his gaze lingering the corner of his lips curl into a slight smirk, his brow remaining low to produce quite a sinister look.

"Acolyte Rendvir Arvanis, first entry."

Pausing for a moment the acolyte looks out of the frame before looking back into the camera, continuing with his entry.

"Being plucked from Korriban was an interesting turn of events, indeed quite a fortuitous one. For a Pureblood with heritage and intentions such as mine, House Horuset can only be an advantage, working within a likeminded Household will surely advance my learning and allow me to watch how they operate. Although both myself and my twin brother, Vorantyr, have been claimed though the timing has been most curious. He was injured on an expedition to the wilds of Korriban and confined to a medbay, this will surely allow me to advance further than him and gain an inside knowledge he will lack when he arrives."

The young Pureblood chuckles lightly, shaking his head.

"Now back to the matter at hand, I was met by an Apprentice Zhaixe. An interesting figure, silencing a room of acolytes with a single command, apparently terrifying them to the point those who entered also knew to be silent. Though he confiscated my ancestral sword... I understand he was likely forced to, yet I could tell he didn't understand the history he held in his hands..."

The young acolyte's gaze hardens as he shakes his head, clearly a sign of disdain.

"... then there is the unkempt hair of his, not that I judge on appearance alone but such unkempt and wild hair would only prove to be an advantage to a foe during a fight, especially during a bitter conflict where it came to a matter of survival."

With the final comment his expression returns to his passive low browed smirk, piercing eyes still peering into the eyes of the viewer.

"Despite it being my first day I thought it prudent to network with the other acolytes, especially considering Lord Sanguinis' task to track down two others. I was then made aware of Acolyte Alencia's seemingly personal vendetta against Corran and Valqine, interesting how she got a Sith to endorse her own desires... a curious little creature indeed."

The Pureblood casts a pensive glance away from the camera, chewing the right side of his cheek in thought before stopping and snapping his gaze back to lock onto the viewer's eyes.

"Acolyte Terakin also proved to be interesting, despite being as new as myself he was willing to butt heads with a clearly established acolyte such as Alencia... a direct approach, reminds me of my brother. Another creature of curiosity and one who could be useful during my time as an acolyte, though that is a minor detail. This task set by Lord Sanguinis, it is a most curious game that the Lord seems to be playing. Both a Lord and an Acolyte seem to have intentions to thin the herd..."

With the last statement the acolyte's grin grows on the right side, showing a set of perfect teeth and well developed, sharp canines before he speaks his final statement.

"The games being played in the powerbase of House Horuset are most interesting, already highlighting the training I will seek out first. Every acolyte I met seemed to either lack the ability to, or chose not to, shield their minds. My first endeavour will be to shield my own mind, and then to work on manipulating the minds of others. I think I'm going to like it here..."

As the Pureblood's voice trails off the holo-feed is cut suddenly, the end of his first entry.

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
