Mission Report: Nowhere to run

A small holorecording would play once the file was downloaded. The voice of Gary Naveil would play across the recording, somewhat haughty and rehearsed. It was very clearly a recording made for multiple uses.

"Lord Saltaeon, Major Koren, Ensign Rees, and anyone who finds this document. Listed below is my report of the recent occurrence for you to look over at your own leisure. The account is from my own perspective of events."

And as soon as it had started, the brief recording was done. Following, the file would go into detail of the titled report.

Stage 1 - The Landing

Sith Zynn briefed us, our objective was to capture a village of Twi'leks the inhabitants of which were to be used as slaves. Leviathan deployed alongside a large group of the powerbase's sith with Sith Arvanis and Sith Sarias taking charge. Apprentice Cuvao's penal battalion was deployed as a flanking unit. After the briefing Leviathan war organized into the following fireteams:

Aurek
- Corporal Naveil - Squad leader - Gunner
- Private Suffor - Imperial coordinator (trial)
- Ensign Rees - Flametrooper (backup)

Besh
- Sergeant Geskar - Besh leader - Jumptrooper
- Private Gaze - Communications Specialist (trial)

Cresh
-  Specialist Dew - Cresh Leader - Demolitions
-  Private Rennab - Infantry
-  Private Cherea - Infantry

When we landed we quickly found ourselves in a tropical area as briefed by Sith Zynn. Quickly a left behind vehicle was discovered, Besh investigated and found tracks leading from them. Cresh set up a perimeter and discovered the same tracks. We followed them to a lake where Besh was ordered to scout ahead without being seen which they accomplished.

Stage 2 - The Lake

They Discovered a Twi'lek woman washing clothes in the lake, I suggested Sith Arvanis that the Twi'lek could lead us back to the village and he agreed. Besh was ordered to shadow her until apprentice Cuvao reported spotting a group of children playing in the lake surrounded by a squad of republic soldiers, 15 in total. This became our main focus. Sith Arvanis sneaked up with Aurek and Cresh waiting nearby for an ambush. When the trap was sprung the fight was won quickly as the republic squad had taken off their armour and weapons prior.

During the attack, Ensign Rees joined the fray. She would prove remarkably useful after the fight as she was naturally capable of conversing with the children. Sith Arvanis ordered the children to be taken captive and we took them along.

Besh once again scouted ahead, but after some time hit a dead end and circled back. At the same time apprentice Kaheeli reported engine sounds coming from the east. We all marched east, once we hit a river crossing leviathan and the sith regrouped while Ensign Rees stayed at a distance with the children.

Stage 3 - The Village

Once we had crossed the river Sith Arvanis ordered that the children were to be used as a bargaining chip. They were placed in front of leviathan with us marching single row behind them. Ensign Rees and Specialist Dew were on the flanks of the children as they both were able to converse with the natives.

We marched to the village where Ensign Rees began conversing our demands to the Twi'lek matriarch, at which point an Iktotchi jedi showed up. Apprentice Cuvao reported his battalion was meeting enemy forces among them another Jedi. Republic Soldiers showed up to reinforce the gate of the village where we were, 12 of them in total. Inevitably combat ensued, and the Iktotchi Jedi was killed, but the second managed to flee but not before Ensign Rees shot them.

After the battle, the Twi'lek matriarch was captured, and SIth Zynn arrived with her ship to capture the Twi'leks.

Assessment and Commendations

Private Suffor: This was her trial but it unfortunately didn't allow her to use it to the extent that I would have liked. She however showed excellent discipline and patience. I can't say I deem her trial complete but perhaps back at the estate, we can test her skills in beast handling.

Private Gaze: Private Gaze was also having a trial on this mission, I would like to ask Sergeant Geskar to comment on the performance of the private as they were together all mission, far away from my eye.

Specialist Dew: He showed leadership capabilities and followed my orders to the letter when he actually heard them. I would consider his leadership requirement fulfilled.

Private Rennab and Cherea: Both did not have a large role in the mission, but both showed excellent discipline and patience. Great soldiers in the making.

Corporal Naveil:  I request that I am commended for my role in acting as the Squad Leader of a successful mission that had elements of scouting and ambushing. Additionally, I formally request the Medal "Authoritative Commander I" for myself, due to leading my fellow soldiers to victory and doing so without casualty or disobedience.

Sergeant Geskar: If he hasn't already I would recommend him the special service medal for excellent use of his jumppack to scout ahead, securing vital intel to myself and Sith Arvanis.

Ensign Rees: She was vital in translating for Sith Arvanis, without her the mission would have gone in a different direction However I would not know what medal to attach to her service.

Ongoing Crisis
War in the Northern Territories

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

"The Northern Territories shift under the weight of changing times. With the passage of the ICOT, internal strife amongst Imperial Forces in the North has lessened - though never abated. Although the momentum of the Republic has not yet been met entirely, fortification efforts and victorious naval campaigns have evened the footing at least slightly. Eyes align on systems such as Vykos, Nam'ta and Orsus to see how this proceeds.."

((OOC: The Balance of Power system has begun! Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state at the start of the next war arc will determine how strong the Republic will be in the area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
