Mission Report:
A personal account of events. by Corporal Tomas PeltFor the viewing of superior officers, please find enclosed a personal account of operational events concerning the deployment of Horuset special forces and the specials operations unit as secondary. The deployment took place upon: XX.XX.23 ATC and in short, the record can state that the mission was a success. At the behest of Lord Kalkoran an assembly of all available forces was called as the peak of the evening. The briefing informed us that a Republic Special Operations unit known as 'Spear Squad' were reeking havoc on the front lines which was actively distributing Imperial Operations. Lord Kalkoran informed the group they had access to specialist equipment which numbed a Siths ability to infringe a soldier's mental ability. As such the objectives were outlines as follows:
  • Secure the 'force mask's' from Spear Squad in order for engineers of the Horuset powerbase to reverse engineer their workings for Black Ops soldiers in the foreseeable future.
  • Eliminate or incapacitate all soldiers within Spear Squad whilst averting casualties to the best of the squad's ability.
Brief information on the squad were were to face was available. They followed a standard special operations structure which placed their Commanding Officer (CO), at the rank of Major. Executive Officer's (XO's) passed through the rank of Captain where more specialised members of the squad sat at the rank of Lieutenant. In stark contrast we as a unit were severely lacking. Out skill sets seemed to mirror that of the enemy but if we had the capability to outmatch them was aired quite openly. The Operation was henceforth lead by Ensign Vareniu when we departed the command vessel to the AO. The sub-file below will outline some basic attributes regarding Arrow Squad.
Spoiler: Arrow Squad
The plan to assault their camp revolved around the use of Shock Tactics to grip the enemy by surprise. And, we did. I opened the assault with Corporal Klevitch, taking out their recon asset otherwise named - 'The Drone' - whilst Klevitch used one of our rocket launchers to disable the enemy's main shuttle. In doing so an initial team consisting of; Ensign Vareniu, Ensign Igneel, Corporal Quinton, and Private Thommas rushed the compound, opening fire on revealed enemy positions which I had revealed earlier on. But, two of the five were missing in the opening moments of the fight; predominately that of Arrow, the team sniper, which took my attention into trying to find his location to prevent any casualties from occurring on our end of the fight. As two of them fell, Arrow sought to open fire on who I assume to be Ensign Vareniu. But, luckily, my sights were trained on him before that could occur and I forced his trajectory off. A heated standoff ensued where I used my equipment to try and manipulate Arrow away from targeting the squad, leading him into my own line of fire which eventually resulted in two hits, killing him instantly upon the second. His mask was acquired, undamaged which has been turned over to technicians in the hope of engineering it in our favour. I can confirm with personal verification, and that of my body cam, the following two blows were that of my doing:
  • Shoulder blast; right side - Captain Arrow.
  • Spinal blast; top of the torso - Captain Arrow.
-----
I will finalise this report with a recommendation of commendation for that of ENSIGN VARENIU. It is my belief that her leadership and swift decisiveness in the heat of battle afforded us the best opportunity to succeed in our mission. I would be reminisced not to also note how effective that of non-black-ops members were in the heat of battle versus Special Forces. I believe that is also worth of commendation.-----

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
