Circus for a Psycho

#2

The following file would be made available for Apprentice Khatatas Ashana and Darth Horuset

A briefing was held by Sith Tarati before the mission, he outlined that we were to capture three individuals rather than just the Lieutenant. We were tasked with also capturing Pensala Vis and 'some Bounty Hunter'. It later turned out that the two individuals Sith Tarati wanted were merely to kill them himself.

Upon arriving we were met with a single gate to the compound and three former Imperial soldiers, faking to be drunk when our alien Imperial approached. She attempted to seduce them, which was clearly failing. Seeing that she would be killed and we were to face the fortified camp with upwards of 40 hostiles with one less operative before even starting I opted to step out of cover and close the gap whilst talking to them.

I made the decision that it was best to attack from the front gate, so that all hostiles would be kept on one side and we would not end up being surrounded. A decision which proved key when it turned out that the majority of the enemy force were hidden in hideaways ready to ambush, we would not have won a fight on all sides.

Once I closed the gap enough I activated my stealth field generator and killed one man myself, the Imperials each handled the other two. I ordered the rest of the group to secure the closest shuttle whilst I moved deeper into the camp alone; with the aid of my stealth, to secure the final shuttle.

The group were quickly pinned down by the Bounty Hunter's heavy repeater fire and the men assisting him, but they managed to hit the shuttle with a thermal detonator, destroying it. The later fight was drawn out but necessary, as it allowed me to move through the camp unnoticed and sabotage the ships wing, by driving my lightsaber into the hydraulics, just as it was about to take off. The Lieutenant was aboard this ship and trying to escape, the second takeoff failed men began firing to try destroy the ship so I cut the door off and used the force to retrieve the target. Shortly after the shuttle blew up from rigged explosives. It seems they were doing everything they could to prevent being taken alive.

After the explosions caused havoc within the base the key figures were either unconscious or surrendered, though the female tried to quick draw and shoot the Lieutenant as I carried him. She failed. All three were captured alive.

There was a pen full of slaves which I intended to send toward Sernpidal but extraction provided by Sith Tarati only allowed for the operatives and three named captives, I opted to slaughter them myself.

We covered our tracks by planting thermal detonators everywhere to hide evidence of lightsabers being used, and to make it look like a gang raid gone wrong.

There was one more curious detail, I sensed a Sith within the camp. Stronger than myself, yet when we attacked the base he attempted to flee. He died a cowards death in the shuttle explosion, I felt his life force ebbing away in the waters below, filled with ravenous slaughterfish.

Ongoing Crisis
War in the Northern Territories

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

"The Northern Territories shift under the weight of changing times. With the passage of the ICOT, internal strife amongst Imperial Forces in the North has lessened - though never abated. Although the momentum of the Republic has not yet been met entirely, fortification efforts and victorious naval campaigns have evened the footing at least slightly. Eyes align on systems such as Vykos, Nam'ta and Orsus to see how this proceeds.."

((OOC: The Balance of Power system has begun! Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state at the start of the next war arc will determine how strong the Republic will be in the area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
