Jaguada Mission Reports

#18
UPDATES: SITH VIPION
  • Current situation is as follows:
  • AG complex is taken over by entity. We will be able to cover temporarily through Atrum Logistics to keep the supply lines running but not for too long.
  • Zarvia's state is unknown.
  • Entity wants us to visit.
  • Attached below is a pair of holo recordings. Please be aware that they are distressing. One shows the aftermath of the outpost; one shows the AG complex.
  • We did pick up Wellsow. The rest of him, well... We can see.

Spoiler: HOLO RECORDING: OUTPOSTHide
The droid drifts past the Corporal’s corpse, now blast-charred and missing its head and neck.
Whatever purpose this room once fulfilled is now indiscernible as it has been emptied completely of furniture and adornment. Instead, its floor is now covered in a tall pile of corpses. It is hard to tell exactly but they sit stacked at least three high, if not more, and are very obviously stewing in a potent miss of fermenting blood and viscera, turning into a dark and foetid jelly around their bloating limbs. Perhaps even more disturbing, these corpses seem to have partially melted into each other, flesh knitting to each other and bones fusing together, each of these corpses now joined into one huge, unholy mass of tissue. Across many of their horrified faces and distorted torsos are extensive sorcerous burns. In the centre of this mass is a huge divot of missing flesh as though it was casually scooped out like a smooth paste. The sides of this divot are an oozing mush, flesh and bone turned into a malleable fluid. The missing flesh must have equated to literal tons of tissue, and it looks almost as though they were taken away and shaped into something through some art of unimaginably dark artifice. Above this divot, hanging from the ceiling, is a large metal spike, on which is impaled a tall figure in black sith robes, the purple-hued flesh of an alien clearly visible. He looks withered, as if forcibly sapped of all energy and vitality, and is clearly long-dead. The walls of the room bear their own flesh burden, spreading up them in a thin lace of spider-webbed membranes. A conservative estimate might assume that there are over a hundred bodies in here, with each stripped entirely naked.
Spoiler: HOLO RECORDING: AG COMPLEXHide
Temekel would receive an urgent holocall from Zarvia. It lasts only a few moments before cutting out, and this is what it displays; a metallic hallway with a number of nomads in it, wielding spears and blaster rifles. They are firing out of view. Zarvia speaks, wild eyed. “It is here! Lord, it-“ A large metal plate flies past her, damn near bisecting a man holding a spear. Zarvia curses, lifts her rifle and fires it into the distance. As she is racking another slug the Holo trembles, and cuts out.
[Hours pass. A failed connection to Zarvia and a droid is sent to scout.]
[The droid sees little of difference. It is still a beautiful, verdant place in the midst of the desert. At its core is the large hydro facility. There is a seemingly abandoned security outpost outside of it, alarms blaring. The droid at the outpost finds a imperial's corpse hanging from a broken window, entrails across the ground and blaster rifle hanging loosely in his hand. Little more can be found here however.]
[The one sent towards the hydro facility enters, gliding through a corridor familiar to Temekel as the one she saw Zarvia fighting in. Several nomad corpses litter the floor, though Zarvia cannot be seen amongst them. Does it continue?]
[A check for wounds and a note to keep as quiet as possible; it checks the hallways, it checks the walls, ceiling. It does continue.]
[The wounds are bludgeoning, apparently inflicted with force enough to crush bone and near-liquify flesh, besides the man who was almost cut in half by a torn up section of flooring. It enters a small loading bay bisected in two halves, which has its own panoply of corpses. As it enters the second half of the loading bay a large, inky black hand darts out from behind the doorway. It fixes the droid in place, and turns it to face the creature. In the midst of black flesh and gaping maws Corporal Wellsow’s head and neck can continue to be seen, albeit now seeming to be in a state of decay, still grinning unnervingly and sweating a thin black fluid. His exposed voicebox seems to wriggle and contort as the creature laughs a childish, mocking giggle through him. Almost playful. Moments later the droid is crushed.]
[The second droid floats in but remains at a distance at the end of the hallway. This time Tem's voice speaks through speakers from a distance: Temekel: ”Thank you for the doll. Why are you here?”]
[The same laugher, although now distant, echoes from the back of the corridor. The lights in the interior go out, and then begin to flicker intermittently. A guttural reply can be heard, Wellsow's own but disformed and altered, ENTITY: "Probe... boring."]
[Temekel “You are bored?”]
[The laughter switches on a dime to an enraged roar, a shard of metal ripping through the air and embedding into the wall next to the droid. "DROID BORING! COME..."]
[Temekel: ”The last time we came you tried to kill us.”]
[The laughter starts to gurgle again, and then stops.]
[Temekel: ”Why come?”]
[There is a pause, followed by a very human scream, and fresh, red blood splatters across the entryway of the other side of the corridor.]
[Nervously the droid peeks around the corner.]
[A dead man, half-zabrak and half-human, gazes back with unseeing eyes. Doctor Kelz, presumably. His ribcage gapes open, held that way by the hands of the creature. The droid is snatched at speed, and the creature starts to hammer the man's skull into its camera, reducing it and the skull into their component parts. The audio devices pick up on one last thing before they too fail. A gutteral, brutish "BOOOORING!"]
[Temekel: ”What is your purpose?”]
[The feed cuts entirely from immense and catastrophic damage.]

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
