Operation - Silence in the Snow
Static buzz preluded the flickering of an holo-image coming to life. As the image stabilizes and the buzzing ceases to exist, the image becomes more clear, depicting a humanoid figure with a youthful yet disciplined look about them, combed hair, trimmed beard and a neatly ironed casual uniform, the signs of a pure imperial soldier. They proceeded to assume a strict stance, hands locked behind the small of their back before they faced directly into the recorder and began speaking with a tone that was equally strict and stiff without leaning towards hostileness nor aggressiveness.
"Day 6th. The time to deploy for the Operation arrived, my first actual mission within House Horuset and in liason with the Sith. I have to say it was... particular. I joined the Chiss I had already met, Apprentice Tenacitious, alongside Overseer Sekker, Apprentice Kaellus and Apprentice Vesk, a mute apparently who communicates solely through signs and Telepathy.
All in all, the mission was successful if not with a few minors setback in the form of local wild-life and damned stranded republic soldiers we made a quick work of, although I feel we have gotten lucky as we had previously alerted the camp and they all awaited for us to approach, weapons at the ready. It was probably thanks to their poor equipment and condition that we managed through with a heads-on assault, since the present Apprentices looked mostly fresh and not overly battle-conditioned, not unlike myself.
Speaking of which, witnessing these Apprentices fight has made me realize the obvious, perhaps, but something one probably often forgets. No one is truly born all-mighty and powerful, not even the Sith. The difference between a Sith Lord and an Apprentice seems abysmal, and even between the Apprentices there are deep power-gaps, considering that one was already equipped with a Lightsaber and the others used still Vibrosword, something a soldier too could be equipped with. This, in a way, encourages me. To learn that the Empire, despite the invaluable weapon that the Sith are, needs troopers like me to handle the job as trained only pushes me to do my best in pursuit of a decorated military career.
Within my family, I have already reached the honor of being assigned to a powerful and important Household. I shall be trying to make the best out of this by studying and perhaps dipping lightly in the intricate and deadly Sith politics, perhaps by first considering an Acolyte to sponsor. I have heard choosing the right one would go a long way once they ascend. Mutual respect, admiration and potential supporting one another, as far as Sith agenda allows for such 'comradery' before I find myself left behind with a severed head.
What matters nonetheless is that the Empire once more won the day, although it troubles me to learn that the Republic managed to be present in Seline, very close to Sernpidal and within our space-domain. My mind cannot stop considering all the possible scenarios of stranded or tactically infiltraded Republic squads on planets not too far from our Capital World either.
I shall share this concern to the right figures when the time will come, until then, Darrel out."
With that, the holo-image would flicker and buzz before finally dying out.
