Entry #001
The Arrival at the Estate
Static buzz preluded the flickering of an holo-image coming to life. As the image stabilizes and the buzzing ceases to exist, the image becomes more clear, depicting a humanoid figure with a youthful yet disciplined look about them, combed hair, trimmed beard and a neatly ironed casual uniform, the signs of a pure imperial soldier. They proceeded to assume a strict stance, hands locked behind the small of their back before they faced directly into the recorder and began speaking with a tone that was equally strict and stiff without leaning towards hostileness nor aggressiveness.
"It is officially Day 1 that I have been transferred to the Imperial Forces within the Horuset Powerbase control. The shuttle trip was short from the thick of Kaas City to the Mountains where House Horuset's Headquarters rise triumphantly. It fell onto Corporal Haldeen to give me a quick tour around the immense Estate and fill me in the duties that expect me, which include patrolling, training and a handful of free time to spend however I see fit, such as I am doing now.
The man seemed capable, specialized in First Aid- a Combat Medic, one that is apparently haunted by the horrors of war. It took only further inquiring onto what exactly occurred in Dubrillion to earn the construction of a war memorial placed within the estate's grounds to bring a potential case of PTSD up. Their mental fortitude seemed to shake as they recounted the countless civilian losses alongside imperial personnel involved within the war. Perhaps their line of work makes it harder to understand and accept losses, although one could comment a professional medical figure would focus on lowering the losses instead of seeking the utopic outcome of preventing all possible losses.
Such is war, after all, a necessary evil.
Regardless, the rest of the shift was uneventful, for today it shall be all. Darrel out."
With that, the holo-image would flicker and buzz before finally dying out.
