What It Means To Be Sith

For some time now I have watched the Acolytes of this Powerbase struggling to come to terms with the nature of their Force sensitivity and what it means to be Sith. I have found their views on the Force, how to wield it and how to grow stronger to be rife with the Naive, youthful misconceptions that come with a limited understanding of the Dark Side. Though this is not unexpected, on the contrary.
All those who are just grasping at the nature of their force sensitivity share in this inherent lack of knowledge and it is for that reason why they do not yet have control over their full potential. So worry not, it is only those who fail to learn from these misconceptions that fall behind and are left to Perish. Those of you whom -do- learn will thus , perhaps, not be among them.
Let us start with the very nature of the Force itself. The fact that the Force exists as a cosmic presence, an energy field that
influences the very fabric of reality, one that seems to be essential for the development of sentient life, is accepted and understood by most creatures of the galaxy intelligent enough to comprehend such notions.
Why only a select few beings among us can actively control it however is not so widely understood. In their ignorance many theorize that Force Sensitives are selected or chosen by the Force, or that it is 'some part of our brain' that allows us to shape the Force and in extension the very fabric of reality to our whims and wishes..
The simple truth that they fail to grasp however is that our ability to command the force, our Strength is simply carried within our blood.
Every fiber of our being is therefore actively attuned to the Force, teeming with it in levels incomprehensible to those born without this strength. It is what makes us so much stronger than them. Sith Blood especially is inherently strong with the Force.
As much as it is a rarity for members of other, lesser species to be born with Force Sensitivity it is a rarity for those of Pure Sith Blood to be born without it. A testament to our superiority over all other lifeforms and the undeniable fact that it is our Birthright to Rule.
And make no mistake, it -is- our birthright. After all it is only natural for the strong to govern the weak. In every facet of nature and throughout the animal kingdom the Strong thrive and lead while the weak live only to serve their betters. Perishing without their guidance.
It is for that reason why the thought, so often propagated by those of Alien or Slave birth and their progressive allies, that there are such concepts as 'wrongful enslavement' and 'Innate equality' of the Species of the galaxy Is naught but weak-minded, childish fantasy.
Those who lack the strength to rule or to, at the very least, rise up against enslavement are worthy of nothing but contempt. Those who are contend with living in passive servitude are beneath our notice as Sith, fit only to act as pawns in our grand desires.
This concept is especially essential to be grasped by those of Alien or Low birth should they intend to survive their time at the Horuset Powerbase in order to become Sith. You must shed the weak ways of your species or class, you must feel no pity for the rest of your pathetic species that was born without Force Sensitivity. No, you must accept the reality that, while of low Birth, you were born with the privilege of Force Sensitivity, that you are their better. You alone were born with the potential to drag -yourself- out of the muck the rest of your species and class is content with frothing around in and that is only through mastering this Strength, following the ways of the SITH that you can discard your past and learn to dominate others.
This brings me to my final point, the nature of the Dark Side and how we as Sith wield it to grow stronger.
To begin allow me to correct the widespread misunderstanding of those who find themselves weak with the Force near the beginning of their career once and for all; Your Force sensitivity will -not- 'grow' overtime. The Force is not like a muscle, you will not suddenly grow more Powerful through exercise, no.
In fact it is that misunderstanding that so often holds us back. Too many of you see the Force and the Forms of lightsaber combat as nothing more but a series of motions or idle skills to pick up like one learns a language through repetition and mimicry. You can repeat the same Force Shock countless times over and over again but it will not suddenly make you more Powerful for it is not your 'attunement' to the Force that changes overtime it is your understanding of the Dark Side that grows overtime.
And it is only this increased understanding that makes us more powerful. Within each and everyone of us there is the potential for Power, this potential does not fluctuate or grow overtime. The only thing that changes is our understanding of our Potential and our ability to wield the Power hidden -within- us.
It is what elevates the Sith above the Jedi. For the Darkside is only for those who focus on the acquisition of Power, those who value self determinism over all else that exists in others. We are not carried by the Force, we carry -it- instead.
Our success does not and will not come from summoning help from the Force or expecting strength to come to you naturally, but from taking control of it and generating the Power from within yourself.
It is only through accepting this reality that you may advance, that you may grow more powerful, that you may survive your Acolytehood and that you may seize the Power that you desire through the cultivation of your -own- strength.
Only then will you understand What It Means To Be Sith.

Ongoing Crisis
War in the Northern Territories

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

"The Northern Territories shift under the weight of changing times. With the passage of the ICOT, internal strife amongst Imperial Forces in the North has lessened - though never abated. Although the momentum of the Republic has not yet been met entirely, fortification efforts and victorious naval campaigns have evened the footing at least slightly. Eyes align on systems such as Vykos, Nam'ta and Orsus to see how this proceeds.."

((OOC: The Balance of Power system has begun! Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state at the start of the next war arc will determine how strong the Republic will be in the area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
