Operation: Doom And Plooma

#2
We approached the factory from a nearby cliff-side. The side entrances appeared to be blocked by rubble. Apprentices Teran Mal and Eddi Hozan began clearing the rubble with their lightsabers and force telekinesis. I too attempted to assist with telekinesis. Once we got through the rubble we could see roughly half a dozen armed men guarding the main entrance as well as support staff running back and forth from deeper inside the factory. Teran called down droid reinforcements to assault the front entrance as a distraction and immediately jumped into action as soon as they arrived. We split up, Teran and I moving towards the entrance while Eddi attempted to take out the support staff but was soon fired upon by more guards coming from deeper within the facility. Teran fought the remaining guards up front while our droids entered the factory. Eddi and I were forced to take cover behind crates as there were now over a dozen men, plus droids and support staff firing on our position from above, on a catwalk, and in the storage area ahead of us. Teran and his droids pushed forward and I ran behind them, taking cover between some workstations and the facility wall. Eddi began using telekinesis to pull enemies towards him into melee range. Once Teran was close enough he jumped up onto the catwalk to deal with the guards firing on us from above. I leapfrogged from cover to cover until I had nowhere else to go and began searching through some of the nearby containers and crates. Luckily I managed to find some sort of IED and threw it behind the enemies still firing at us. It was a large shrapnel grenade and when it went off it killed all the remaining enemies and support staff, with surprisingly minimal damage to the surrounding facility, equipment, and cargo. I recommend we return and collect more of these IEDs for reverse engineering. While Teran was working to get the turbolift running, I collected one of the smaller corpses, henceforth referred to as shield. We proceeded up the turbolift and immediately came under fire from the Factory Manager and two of his bodyguard droids. Teran and Eddi used telekinesis to disarm one of the droids and the factory manager, respectively. I held my shield close and charged at the remaining droid, augmenting myself and tackling it to the ground. It was at this time I was struck by two repeater rifle rounds, one to the right shoulder and the other to the right leg. After the fighting was over we secured the factory, took the manager as our prisoner, and returned to the Estate to debrief with Sergeant Thymius.

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
