Report:
Before we embarked on the mission in question, our operation group met up to discuss tactics. Corporal Naveil claimed leadership at first, but after a short discussion he agreed that I would lead the mission. We landed on a beach-side and approached the facility. As we got closer we detected enemies, and upon approach we saw two men playing a game, an auto-turret nearby and a droid as well.
Corporal Naveil opened the engagement by taking out one of the guards and damaging the turret, which caused the droid to activate and further guards to be alerted. Syndathik provided cover from blasters while I disable the droid. Advancing, we systematically took out each of the guards save one, who we interrogated for necessary access codes, got to draw his own men into an ambush and Corporal Naveil then executed without order to do so.
The next wave were simply two guards who were easily taken out, and the rest were only scared scientists panic-firing. Corporal Naveil stunned them, and we followed a last one to the research facility proper. They were deleting files, but upon being spoken to they agreed to stop the process and save the majority of the information, even removing the databanks for us. We do not know the exact contents, but the scientist said that if we got the information on it 'we wouldn't need her', so I guess there is value in there. There were no prototypes present, the Hutts having taken them only recently.
We escaped with no casualties on our side, and four captive scientists of whom one followed of her own will. I suggest she is given the opportunity to keep working, such an intellect may be invaluable to the Empire in the long term. I cannot vouch for the rest of her team.
Objectives:
Primary Objective: Secure the plans, or a prototype, of the experimental energy cell.
Though we cannot confirm we completed this objective until the databanks are properly scanned through, the scientist leading the project has been captured and appears willing to share her information.
Secondary Objective: Acquire further plans or prototypes.
The recovered databanks, not to mention the minds of the scientists, may contain further data.
Optional Objective: Sabotage the base.
We left none alive, took all the scientists and did considerable damage to infrastructure and machinery.
We must await the contents of the Database, but I am reasonably sure this Operation can be counted as a success.
- Wradaii Sutta'Qo.
*Message: "This mission has been marked a success - all scientists and data have been taken for processing, and plans secured for reproduction. If any participants wish to further aid in acquisitions, there's still another Operation: Doom and Plooma that can use your talents. All of this aids the production and bottom line of the Kalkoran Powerbase, which produces items directly for the Imperials and Sith of Horuset."*
