Sith Code
Peace is a lie there is only passion
/A rejection of passivity, embracing active momentum./
Through Passion I gain Strength
/Through X I gain Y. Replace strength or the nebulous term passion with any synonym or word relating to it and you might find a personal reason to apply to it/
Through strength I gain power
/Yet again, it is the same simple step. Replace power, with another step relating to the last, be this political or physical/
Through power I gain victory
/Whatever is power, is what is required to achieve the nebulous ‘victory’ is the achievement of goals, through the prior steps victory offering the power a conclusion or conclusions. So the power does not stagnate/
Through victory my chains are broken
/Through achieving my goals, my chains(Restrictions) are broken(Surpassed) replace chains with whatever holds your back and by achieving success if your goals you will be able to “Break that”
The force will free me
/The Force will free me, the inherent difference between Sith and others. This is a show of owning their power, through it or by it. Will free(liberation) by your right to it./
Additional Notes
The common theme throughout is the ‘through’ the word ‘through’ in this context refers to the active momentum of the piece. The notion that one must move forward, going through each stage or stepping stone to achieve their goals.
Another word that falls into this type, is ‘Gain’ while it doesn’t continue beyond three lines. It is still worth referencing that it is quite possible, this was chosen because gaining power or strength means it is in someway offered. Rather than earned possibly suggesting that the intent is their power is given, thus indicating the ideas of deserving.
Me and I are also prevalent. Suggesting the inherently selfish nature of it.
It also uses buzz words that can easily be replaced by the individual notions of power, victory and such. This allows for individual freedoms and interpretations of what they think their X and Y are.
I don’t quite understand the last line, though I think I hit the nail on the head. However it might be something to look into. A lot of my points there are only breaking apart the line, it is still something I do not understand. It’s strange.
