[entry #2: Form III continued.]
[indent] My... Investigations into the form have hit a brick wall, since my conversation with Lord Tokiai. He is aware of my notes, and how I intend to progress - even going so far as to say I was the first in four generations of Sith since he put his thoughts down to analyse them in such a way. While he gave little away, his tone implied to me that I am on the correct path, as far as the theory of the form goes. That, and the fact that I walked away with my head attached to my shoulders speaks volumes to me.
I am of no doubt that Lord Tokiai is the path to the knowledge I seek, and thus I have done my research on him. Specifically, I have found his apprentice, Tashha Vineac to be of great help in this endeavor. While she has not directly told me how to approach him, observing her mannerisms around her Master have enabled me to gain two further audiences with him. I intend to make myself indispensable to his corner of the power base - and thus create an opportunity to learn from him. For now, I must remain on his radar yet off to the side. It would not do to raise my head within striking distance of his saber.
My thoughts constantly drift back to what little information I have gleaned about Soresu - and I have started to incorporate my hypothesis about the more defensive mannerisms of the form to some success in my application of Shii-Cho - indeed, apprentice Vineac has shown me how to better utilize my left hand near the pommel of my training weapon to change it's angle with less effort. It still feels... Incorrect though. Although that may just be the difficulties I've been having "adjusting" to the loss and replacement of my hand in a short space of time.
Still, this is the right track. I know that the medics will have me busy for the majority of the day of my second trial for a full re-calibration now that I've gotten through the initial week, leaving me bound to the Household's estate on Dromund Kaas as opposed to advancing. I will use this time productively, to better my understanding of how to put these economic movements into my use of Shii-Cho, perhaps with the training droids and their blasters to see if I can find a better way to deflect blaster fire.
For now, I have little other to write about. This will take time, patience, and effort. A fitting thing, given the Form I intend to study.
