Entry 4: Assistant Overseer
The projection of the holocom would shimmer to life, displaying not the same Echani man behind it's recording, but a masked man. His mask a darkened shade, covering all features of his form and revealing nothing but an emotionless husk of what lied beneath it. His hands clasped behind his back as he allowed a silent stare to linger onto the projection for a moment. Yet it passed and with a mechanical, deep, Imperial accented tone he would speak.
"Log four, entitled 'Assistant Overseer'. Apprentice A'tul, assistant Overseer of House Horuset, Apprentice to Sith Tarati."
His form relaxed ever so slightly as they lingered in a slight trail of thought, but an amused huff escaped his mechanical posture, a hand trailing from behind him to reveal one of his saber hilts, curved by nature and offering a light colour in it's design, mostly created by Echani materials no doubt.
"Titles I have earned by right of conquest. I am finally my own Sith. Though some are too naive to understand the meaning of this change, it will be evidently clear in due time. They believe I do this to start a new life, that no matter what I do, I am still Almir. They are wrong. Almir Priaa is dead, destroyed and claimed by A'tul. I care not if they know of my former self, I care only that they acknowledge my accomplishments in the end. I often wonder how many of these 'Sith' have lasted as a long as they have by doing absolutely nothing for themselves. Remaining the same presence as in their Acolyte form. That is why I will eventually surpass them."
A'tul let out a slight scoff, still amused as he toyed with his saber hilt, waving it around as to test it's balance in his hand, a loosened grip around it as he spun it in many a direction. This weapon was truly elegant by nature, and his hand movements matched such.
"My thoughts linger too much on others, and not of myself. I am now in a position of potential, granted to me by my dedication to the Dark Lord. Only she has the power to elevate me in due time. I will make aims to only benefit her. Whilst in turn, benefiting myself. After all, it is a Sith's duty to use all tools at his disposal. That is why I often question my masters teachings. Does he allow me this free roam so I can detach from him, to forge my own path, be my own Sith, hold secrets to which I would defeat him in due time? I wonder indeed. Sith Tarati is not known for his basic methods."
The man paused for a moment, stopping the hilt just in front of him before igniting it's blade. A red hue presented itself from the projection, and the light shimmered upwards to illuminate the mask of the man.
"I will present my new case to the Dark Lord. After recent troubles of the Acolytes, Ayla, Mayaz, Ida and Lyrua. I have found that there is far too much freedom for this pests to linger. That is why I will propose a new restriction, one where those without a spine cannot teach without my, or others permission. Only those worthy in the eyes of our judgement will be given the opportunity. It is my role to uphold the Dark Lord's curriculum, and I will do so with an iron fist. What happens to these Acolytes now reflect upon me, how they progress is my responsibility."
A'tul would allow his saber to linger before him for a brief moment before swaying it aside in a Makashi salute, holding it now with his left hand to his left side, disigniting the blade.
"The only part of me that remains, is the part for my love. She keeps me what I am, sane, focused, passionate. Without her I would be a husk, some-thing more easier to manipulate, a weapon of destruction. A brute. I am not any of that... My methods are harsh, but they serve a purpose in the design of what I have in store. But my love, you are more than any of these will ever be. Always have been. I would die to ensure your safety. Is that a weakness, when you give me strength? I will dwell on it, but I do not believe so. With ever fiber in my body, I love you."
The man inhaled deeply, his hand trailing behind him with the hilt clasped in his grasp, raising his chin ever so slightly as his blank gaze remained lingering onto the projection. This was the final moment before suddenly the projection would flicker once more before shutting itself from reality.
