Clash of Cultures
Having been born on Eshan rather than at the heart of an Imperial world, Ayla still hasn't gotten to taking on the accent found within the faction, and taking on their ideals. The culture that she is so proud of was immediately put down upon her join of Horuset, met with the xenophobia of the populace, and putting down her confidence.
Even amongst her own warrior culture, Ayla was never one to take battle in physical nature over all other aspects of life. She enjoyed a calmer side of things, minding her own business and seeking to please as many as she could as the ideal student. Her talents and ideals as a person and now a Sith leave her more frequently than not, away from the sparring mats and closer to the libraries, for a battle of the mind has always been more important to her.
This fact about her has never quite served as a matter to be disappointed about, for she tries her best not to neglect her combative abilities despite her other priorities.
Her ideas have garnered tension between her and Almir as of late, causing her to frequently be seen butting heads with what he does and say. This is what lead to her various mistakes during Acolytehood, accused of forming alliances with those around her and relying on friends rather than one's strength.
Realizing that she had strayed from her own culture, it wasn't long before Ayla put who she was back on track, and kept to herself to display what she knew, and her meticulous expression of how to put it into effect. This garnered her the acolyte notes of "Alpha, Annihilator, Inquisitor", and made her the only Acolyte of her generation to be picked immediately after their third trial. An example she now strives to withhold in her days as an Apprentice to Sith Leive.
The Medical Sith
Ayla has wanted to be a Doctor since her "Chal", an echani tradition that took place after a long term ritual on their 12th birthday. This entails that the young Echani would meditate alone, in their local moon garden for twelve hours. The significance of this was for the child to reflect on their life before this day, and their destiny afterward. Often it was during Chal that an Echani would weigh their options for a future.
She wanted to do this not because she cared about the lives of others, but because Ayla has always been one to look at the grand picture of things. For a culture of warriors to not possess a proper medicinal backbone, then they would be as good as suicidal figures, doomed to loss after multiple occasions of conflict.
This is the same reason Ayla now strives to be the Medical Quartermaster of House Horuset, seeking to make a profit through the Production and Logistics nature of their Darth, by creating, selling and treating the cybernetics and wounds of the Soldiers and Sith within.
If the Sith are who stand up top, ruling over the lesser through their extraordinary applications of everyday tasks, vital to the war effort, then to Ayla, there is no reason the Medical side of the powerbase should be so neglected as it has. She aims to make it a perfect example of finesse throughout the Empire as a whole with every fiber of her will.
